In Shannon Breen's quest to sign with an NFL team, the Linganore High product will spend the next two months at an elite training facility in Atlanta.
Breen, who played college football at West Virginia Wesleyan, will train at the Competitive Edge Sports facility, taking part in a program with hopes of getting in better shape to impress NFL scouts at a pro day. He said that several players from the national-champion Auburn will be training with him.

"This is a huge opportunity," Breen said. "Some of the best players in the country will be there."

Breen, an offensive lineman, hopes to sign with an NFL team as a priority free agent or a low-round draft choice. It all depends on how he does at his pro day, which could be held at the University of Maryland.
