    Wow. That was fun.

So this the origin of Sarah Palin's worldview. Scary.

This also seems to be the place where the concept of Obama being a terrorist, socialist, and an Anti-Christ figure who intends on destroying America came from.

To those of you who follow ol' Fathead, please: STOP, THINK, GET A LIBRARY CARD, LEARN. It won't kill you to do a little of your own research on the issues and form your own conclusions.

And no wonder Rush' callers are called Dittoheads. For them, Rush said it, they believe it, and that settles it. Many of them are openly superstitious against intellectualism and depend on Rush to pigeon-hole everything for them into 2 piles: Rush Ideology and Liberal Agenda. It's amazing.

What a strange cult this Dittohead Nation is!

What in the world are you talking about?

Where did you get that Palin's worldview originates with Rush? News to me.

He probably gets it from the source on whom he relies to pigeonhole information into two broad, crassly stereotypical categories: leftist-approved intellectual thought, and unenlightened thought (which is most commonly associated with red state America).:D

I'm not a fan of Howard Stern by any wild stretch, but he said something one time I find so true.

He said his loyal fans listen to his show 2 hours per day. His most ardent detractors listen to his show 4 hours per day.

I am more Conservative than you and haven't listened to Limbaugh in 10 years and wouldn't for any reason.

You legitimize the very man you obviously abhor. How does that make any sense?

Well I have no idea what your talking about Palin on, but as far as the Obama being a friend of terrorists and maybe a terrorist at heart himself, well that comes from eyes wide open. I listen to Mark Levin and Sean hannity quite regularly. Never listen to Rush.

Obama is shady, hes got questionable ties to questionable pple. I drew my own conclusions and came up with the fact that I dont trust Obama.

As for the strange cult, this Obama cult is one I dont understand. Nobody knows who he is, yet many are willing to hand over the buttons to OUR nukes to him. I damn sure know McCain is 100% American. I know hes bleed for my country. Obamas gunna invite terrorist to the whitehouse and negotiate. We dont negotiate with terrorists, or had you forgotten that?

Listening to Rush the Racists is a complete waste of time.

It is no different than listening to Louis Farrakan, in fact, it may be worse.

Geez Mick We get it. You think Rush is a racist. God, you are a one note band.

Plus you look ridiculous doing it.

Doing the whole race thing again.

Geez we get it, your Rush's number 1 fan :bang2: .

And ridiculous is assuming Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama because he was black, like you did Sunday.

I will rip Rush every chance I get, just like I do all the other racists like Al, Jesse and Louis.

One note samba keeps right on playing the race issue.

I think you are really more touchy about it than you let on. You keep mentioning race every chance you get.

    Well whatever.

And I stand by what i said. I think it was about his skin color. Though Powell's credentials as a conservative have never been an issue because he never was one. So it may be more about ideology as far as his left wing political leanings. Nevertheless Powell himself said a few months ago that having an African-American president would be "Electrifying". His words not mine. So for him in that sense, it was about his skin color.

But you keep playing the race thing and we'll keep tapping our feet to the same beat.

And by the way, he's not a racist. That's a lie.

Oh and for being his #1 fan.... I haven't listened to rush in over a month and then it was only for a few minutes. I listen to sirus NFL more than anything. So stick that where the sun does not shine.

Please put each other on Ignore. We simply do not need this.

See the sticky thread for what I suggest about this advice.

Limbaugh is good at what he does. I respect just how good he is and how successful he has become doing his job. His worldview is different from mine and that's fine. He's not pretending to be unbiased. You know what you get.

It's the same thing with people picking on Olbermann. When I watch Olbermann, I know what I'm getting is a skewed news commentary.

I happened to catch his show while flipping radio channels on a very long trip this morning. Probably the fourth time I've listened to him in my entire life.

I was amazed by the labels Rush used over and over on discussing Obama and Biden. Words and phrases like socialist, radical, Muslim, wants to raise taxes on everybody who makes over $42,000, 'The Messiah'. I see very little to no difference between the stuff I heard on Rush' show and the stuff I see posted on message boards where conservatives congregate, such as this one.

As far as Palin goes, I do believe she lifts her Cliff Notes version of conservatism from conservative talk show hosts such as Rush Limbaugh. And Rush noted today how Palin was a recent guest and mentioned that Palin is a longtime listener and supporter of the show (a Dittohead).

As far as legitimizing Rush goes, I don't know about that. I think by and large his own audience does that.

As I noted in my reply to Hostile, according to Rush, Palin is a longtime listener and supporter of the show. And after observing Palin's obvious lack of depth of knowledge on some key issues, and the uncanny resemblance between Rush' diatribe and some of Palin's speeches, one has to conclude that Palin's politics have been shaped and heavily influenced by conservative talk shows.

Rush is funny as crap though....although Keith can be unintentionally funny when he mangles French words.

I dont think Limbagh takes himself as seriously as pompous *** Olbermann seems to.

I think the reason one side finds their guy funny and the other side doesn't is because humor has to have some truth to it or at least what you perceive to be the truth.

If you think everything coming out of their mouths is false, well, their humor won't work on you. If you believe what they're saying, their attempts at humor are much more successful.

Im not on a "side". Most of my closest friends have been liberals, and i tend to surround myself with liberals for some reason. I live in Austin for chrissake. :)

I enjoy hearing all views from all sides. Im around lefties much of the time and I listen to a crapload of lefties that I find hilarious. Olbermann is not one of them though. He comes across as way too mean spirited for me. He's not entertaining at all to me.
