I was scanning the waiver wire in my Fantasy league to see who was available (churning the bottom half of my roster and BP puts it) and just for sh*ts and giggles, I clicked on Julius Jones to see what they said. Here is the latest info they had for him:

Oct 13 Dallas Cowboys RB Julius Jones (shoulder) cannot lift weights to maintain his upper body strength. Jones, who has a broken left shoulder, remains on the active roster, but will need six more weeks before he is ready to return.

The "six more weeks" caught my eye right away. I do not know how accurate these guys are, but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about Julius' recovery?

Yahoo's Sports Info isn't always the best.

Wait till it comes from a more reliable source.

No that's not his point, JJ was a reach and reaches hardly ever pan out.

JJ is nothing more than a poor mans lotto pick... yes everyone that picks thinks he's going to be the winner.

Wed Oct 6 2004 - Cowboys running back Julius Jones is ahead of schedule in his rehab from a broken shoulderblade. Original estimates called for eight weeks of rehab, which would have brought him to Thanksgiving. Jones may be worth a roster spot in deep leagues if you have room to stash him.

One says one thing, one says another. I haven't heard anything much from the team or local sources, so take these with a grain of salt.

As for his value or potential, let's wait before we declare he's not worth anything or not until he's had a chance to contribute. All this blather about him being a bust or not worth anything is just plain stupid until we've had a chance to see him in extended action. It's even more asinine when he's declared worthless because he was injured. It's just plain ignorant to go around saying things like that unless in some people's cases they're using it as a lame attempt to validate their notion that he shouldn't have been drafted.
