Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin is expected to recover from hip and back injuries to play Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, a source told ESPN's Ed Werder.

Austin was injured on the first play of the Cowboys' second series in the team's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Washington Redskins and did not return.

Dallas hopes to return another offensive weapon to the field as well, as running back DeMarco Murray is scheduled to attempt to practice Wednesday for the first time since suffering a midfoot sprain.

Although Murray may practice this week, a source said his availability to play against the Eagles is not guaranteed.

The guy cannot stay healthy. Simple as that; his hamstrings keep acting up and he is only maybe 80%. He costs too much to keep. Toss him.

Agreed. ALSO, we should probably send someone in the area to Romo2Austin's house for suicide-watch when that happens.

Yet and still he has yet to miss a game this season and still on pace to be 1,000 yard reciever. Dez and Miles are a terrific 1/2 combo at the wide reciever position. Breaking them up would be stupid. Glad you guys aren't the GM. No way Dallas cuts Austin. If need be he'll restructure his contract to remain a Dallas Cowboy.

It's strange to see Dez come out of the dog house and Miles going in.

Despite the injuries he will have another 1k yard season.. Its like you all want him to fail.

THIS DUDE WAS IN STREET CLOTHES BY HALFTIME LAST WEEK, and now he is able to play?
He is one player that needs to be released next year, he is part of the 'core' who make mistakes that cost games and lacks mental sharpness or toughness.

Yeah I don't understand the mindset that some fans have. Why would you want one of the players on the Cowboys to fail? I root for every single football player on this football team to succeed out there on the football field. Now obviously that doesn't mean it'll happen, but I will certainly will root for them.

I dont think anyone wants miles to fail, fans are dissapointed. How are you going to succeed when you always have injuries holding you back and not playing up to your contract?

He is paid like an 1100 yard receiver, he will finish with 1050 or so despite the injuries.
