the team believes a safety has to be a

good in coverage and can play all three downs for the team to

use a first-round draft choice on them.

    guess that means no Barron

IMO that means Barron is a prime target.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Wonder if we know when he said this...or a link or something.

Sounds like you're on the right track.

Though some will refuse to listen for whatever reason, this goes right along with all the projections coming out of Valley Ranch since the Daft process began.

What down do you take him out on? In his 3 seasons as a start in college he had 12 INTs and 34 PDs.

Why in the hell is anyone putting any stock in the bs being peddled by every NFL team? It's very close to the draft! Every single NFL team except some of the ones with top 5 picks are lying about their player preferences.

why does that not mean Barron. Barron played all three downs in college and was good in coverage. He was put playing up playing zone his last two years. His sophmore year he had 7 INTs and played man cover and zone and the deep field.

Barron is a smart football player, leader of Alabama, and made all the calls in the secondary lining up everyone where they go. He was the secondary QB and this team needs that.

    :laugh2:

Because the Cowboys come out every year and in so many words say exactly what they are going to do before the Draft.

you are looking a clips and must have never watched an entire game of his. He did what he was asked to do by saban. His job last two years was to read the QB and jump inside routes. He did that with ease.

Barron was an In the Box Strong Saftey in College.

If you paid attention over the last several months you'd be able to afford some knowledge about the Cowboys Draft intentions.

I think Barron will be able to cover just fine for a safety. And his other attributes are huge.
It's true that he was "in the Box" alot, but Casserly, Mayock, etc, etc say that was what he was asked to do and did not reflect what he was not able to do. He was back there barking orders on every play.....kind of like the defensive QB.

To average 4 INTs and 11 PDs per season, Alabama's opponents must have thrown in the box a lot.

What I'm wondering is if we draft Barron do we release Sensabaugh or Pool? I'm thinking Pool and Barron are better fits (along with Pool being Rob's guy), but what would the salary cap hit be for letting Sensi go?

Not sure what Barron you watched in college, but the one from Alabama can do all of the above.

While the English language is interpreted different by different people, try Math instead, it's easy to add up quotes comming out of the Ranch such as not taking a Guard early in the Draft, like taking a pressure player, like not passing on a pass rusher, as well as talking candidly about the need for a Coverage Safety.

Not to mention Free Agent signings.

Keep both. Pool only has a 1 yr deal IIRC. So if Barron is unable to play for whatever reason, we still having starting quality depth behind him.
