EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- When the lights went out at New Meadowlands Stadium in the third quarter Sunday, it seemed fitting that the Dallas Cowboys had the ball -- because their offense has been in the dark most of the season.

When the first of two outages -- the result of a blown transformer -- caused some of the lights to go out, resulting in one end of the field to be slightly darker than the other, officials decided it was bright enough to still play.
Jon Kitna quickly lofted a screen pass to Felix Jones, who took it 71 yards for a touchdown that increased the Cowboys' lead to 20 points.

"It was great," Jones said. "My guys in front of me made some great blocks -- Andre Gurode and Kyle Kosier. The receivers made great blocks down the field and basically just opened up the lane for me."
