    IRVING -- With injuries to starting offensive linemen in training camp and the regular season, voices of doom suggested Tony Romo would be a sacrificial quarterback.

    Backup linemen could not be trusted. Nothing was more important for the Dallas Cowboys than Romo's health. A disaster surely would happen.

    As it turned out, one important piece of the Romo quarterback puzzle was not recognized by alarmists. In his fourth season as a full-time starter, Romo continues to steadily develop in his craft.
