    EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jason Garrett will never have a honeymoon as Dallas Cowboys coach.

    Although he is in a dream position that he's worked his whole life to achieve, his rise didn't come with the requisite good feelings.

    There will be little patience associated with his interim coach label.
    While team owner-general manager Jerry Jones talks about judging him on intangible factors such as getting the Cowboys to play with effort, discipline, hard work and passion, the bottom line is that there is nothing more important than winning.

    Losing is what got former coach Wade Phillips fired last Monday. It'll be winning that's going to get Garrett the full-time job.
