I think the most fair thing to say is that Dallas has as good a chance as any of the others.
In each of the last 3 season I've seen enough effort from our players but a penalty or a lapse in strategy has held us back. I think we learn from our mistakes and get over the hump this season.
So the Redskins have finished last in the NFC East...I believe 5 out of the last 6 years.....we have played a "win and your in" game the last 4 years. If we were able to do that last year...with the worst defense in the NFL....this would all suggest we are more LIKELY to be in the hunt all year...as opposed to finishing in last place.
The historically bad defense is one reason for the pervasive pessimism. However, the bigger reason is recent history. The team has developed a certain reputation, which, fair or not, taints how people see them.
It's the preseason. And my co-worker who's a Giants fan says their first team offense looks horrible, so bad that Coughlin is considering playing them the whole 1st half and possibly beyond that in their last preseason game.
I wonder what the stats are from teams finishing last in defense or even offense, and then where they finish the next year.
But I konw, that doesn't work with this team, because, well, it's the way of the pessimists...
I hope you are right but I fear with this defense and we are not sure how good the play calling and offense is going tobe so I think they wont be close to top I think they finishthird and garret loses his job
Yes and the NFL has made it perfectly clear that what happened was unacceptable.
All you have to do is look at the amount of flags we've seen so far and that they've indicated that it won't be changing week 1 to understand that the NFL we knew just last year is going away.
Ah, yes, very true. Wonder how many flags Richard Sherman will be getting week 1.
I heard where the Browns put boxing gloves on their DB's, hopefully to help them not grap.
Wonder how many flags Dez will draw too.
We'll see...I hate the way the league is going BTW...just for clarification.
One just can't now ignore the tremendously high price for post playing injuries...Obama would even walk around that one.
This was my first thought too. The problem with the Cowboys isn't how we do within the division. It's their inability to matchup outside of it.
CC, you have the uncanny ability to write clearly and concisely and still leave me to struggle with your meaning.
I'm sorry my friend...I then apologize.
5-0 with Romo and an Orton pick away from sweeping the division. Our offense should be better and the defense will likely struggle again. We should absolutely be considered contenders in the East.
Hey Den...looking forward to Saturday?
So you know the stats or you don't?
Your second piece kind of hints that you know, and if that's the case then tell.
What are the stats?
So the radio is saying it looks like Maclin just hurt his knee and it doesn't look good...
The '89 Cowboys won 3/4 of their pre season games too and only lost the other in overtime yet we all know how that season turned out.
