L. P. Ladouceur sure snapped well tonight
Harris/Bailey/Dez/a couple of linemen/Witten/Murray/secondary looks like it may be great in a year or two. That is all.
A healthy team is a Super Bowl contender and depending on an update on Bryant, everyone should be healthy for TC.
I've been trying to find a historical defense that was decimated as badly as Dallas was this year and haven't found one yet. 6 of the 12 starters, counting the 3rd CB as a starter, were lost.
Pick any team in the NFL and take half the players off one side of the ball and you have a non-playoff team.
I have to admit, with all our injuries, I am surprised we finished 8-8.
As for the future, it's tough to really know how good our defense could be if we had S Lee, B Carter, a healthy Ware, Ratliff, Church, Coleman (at least he could play the run!), etc.
I actually think the talent is getting better and the character is improving. Having said that, I still think management needs to rethink their approach to building a team. We will all be clamoring again for an infusion of talent for the OL and safety position.
So true. The Boys were frustrating this year, but our defense can't win when we're missing half of our players.
The Cowboys did have their best December in quite some time.
When Jason took over i really thought it would take 3 seasons to put together a contender. With a couple hits in FA and the Draft next year we will be in better position for a playoff run.
awe....the positive side of things.....uuuuuhm...8-8 its better than the late AL Davis Raiders are....this year.
The friggin Vikings are back in the playoffs.
3 years my ***.
Harris was great tonight.
The defense kept us in it until the end even with all the injuries.
Ogletree actually scored a TD. How's that for positive?
That wasn't even counting Ware playing as a shell of himself due to injury. Right now I'd put a healthy Dallas team against any team in the league. Ryan made chicken salad out of chicken poop...imagine what he could have done with a healthy D.
Plus, losing Costa, then Kowalski was probably the biggest loss of the year. Cook played admirably but it took half the season for the rest of the line to get his snap down and even then they struggled firing off.
Loved the way they competed!
I thought a lot of guys stepped up this year. You can be proud of some of your older guys and the leaders they have become. You can be proud of what some of the young guys seem to developing in to.
I thought the team made some really clutch plays this season. Obviously, they failed to make a lot of those too. Welcome to the NFL.
I hope for better luck with health next year.
I would love to see Garrett let someone else call the plays on offense. I would like to see more creativity on defense. I know it's tired and worn and everyone blames the coaches when things don't go right. I'm not trying to do that. Just thought that some more aggression might have served the team well at times.
the world didn't end so there is still chance for some of the younger fans to experience a Cowboys SB win in hopefully the near future.
Bailey is money, Harris is a keeper, Dez is a monster.
Thats pretty much it.
Kudos to the OL, FB and Murray for successfully running the ball when running plays were called.
(Shame on the Coaching for giving up on good running too early)
This team was garbage when they were healthier.
