There's some guys from the smaller schools in this draft who are just impressing the heck out of me. Here's a Cowboys mock Draft with guys from lesser known schools. I have to admit, I'd love this. 1a. Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy. Not a true small school but not one of the football factories either. 1b. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State. 2 CBs in round 1? Hey if it's these guys, you damn betcha. 2. Heath Benedict, OG, Newberry. If you don't know this kid yet after all the harping I am doing you need to read up. My gosh what a prospect. 3. Kendall Langford, DE, Hampton. 6'6", 275 and impressive. 4. Curtis Johnson, OLB, Clark Atlanta. I started reading about this kid a couple of months ago and I admit it, I hope we get him. 5. Brandon Keith, OT, Northern Iowa. A 6'5", 349 mountain of a man. 6. Chad Rhinehart, OG, Northern Iowa. 3 O-linemen? 2 from Northern Iowa? Yeah, I'd love it. We'd have depth and a lot of nasty. 7. Marcus Dixon, DE, Hampton. Another DE from Hampton? Yeah and another towering prospect too. 6'4" 284 pounds. Now, I'm not saying we should do this by any wild stretch. But take a good look at these kids because they are all going to make it in the NFL. Good balance of nasty and athleticism. I love the football season, but there are times when researching stuff for the Draft is every bit as much fun. This is the best crop of small school talent I have seen in I don't know how long.
