Alexander actually joined the Boys in 90. He joined Agee who was drafted in 87.

Agee went to Auburn. I was looking for Nate Newton; he and Alexander both attended Florida A&M.

I'll take a stab, but you may be after something else. I remember that his last year in the league with the Cardinals he had the same rushing yards (937) as his rookie year with the Cowboys.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I suspect most Cowboy fans remember his "diamond surrounded by trash" comment but have forgiven him for it.

The question was about Ray Alexander, not Alexander Wright. My bad for not being clearer about which "Alexander" I was talking about.

Hmmm... for some reason I don't remember that quote from Emmitt? Was that said during his last few years in Dallas?

He said it sometime during the summer just before his first season in Arizona, or maybe early in his first season. You can google "Emmitt diamond trash" for more details.

I've always believed that if a reader misunderstood something I wrote, it was because I failed to write clearly. Having done these for almost a year now, I've got a lot of experience in poorly phrased questions! :)
