Randy holds the Cowboy record for most opponent's fumbles recovered in a Super Bowl (2) which Jimmie Jones later tied (XII for Hughes, XXVII for Jones); Randy and Mel Renfro hold the Cowboy record for most consecutive playoff games with an interception (3).

I didn't know that about Mel. I knew there was at least one more player in NFL history to get INTs in 3 st8 playoff games. Never considered it to be Mel though.

Isn't it because Tony had the same agent as Ricky Bell and Tex knew Tampa would draft Bell for sure? Also think Bell played under the TB head coach in college for a bit.

He knew TB was taking Ricky Bell out of USC...at least that's the rumor. I've often wondered if Schramm was going to be happy with either one.

TB had the #1 overall pick and it was a foregone conclusion that TB coach John McKay would take his old USC TB rather than Heisman-winner Dorsett. The wonder is, how did Schramm talk Seattle out of its #2 pick for just a 1st and three 2nds!

Survivor Redemption. TDs 99yd TD run. He injured his right shoulder in 92 while with the Raiders and retired the next year after being on IR for 92. I had to look all this up as I didn't remember the guy at all.

    (2) Although he would eventually enter the Hall of Fame, at the time he was released by Dallas, not many teams were interested in Aikman. For example, who did the Chargers sign rather than Troy?

Mike Nolan and Del Rio got the NFL to allow coaches to wear suits on the sidelines.

Nolan is the son of the late Dick Nolan, a former Cowboy DB and long time defensive assistant, when not coaching the 49ers and Saints. Nolan even coached with Jimmy Johnson for a year.
