    Some of the links at the end of that story are just as amazing. The picture of the crew with their fallen overlaid is truly awe inspiring.

    I'm no where near the brightest bulb in the drawer but what exactly does the togglier do on a plane?

    Toggle the bombs. The bombs were stacked in offsetting patterns up the bomb racks and the togglier would toggle them down to the drop position.

    He was also responsible for removing the safety pins before the bombs were dropped.
