    I really liked brooking. I just barely noticed the other day he was gone. I knew somebody had to have picked newman up.

    I think Brookings has a standing offer from the Cowboys to come on as a coaching assistant. He's still got the itch to play though, and may try to catch on somewhere as injuries, etc, deplete team rosters.
