He would be the PERFECT choice to help implement the Tampa 2. Why? He just played in Zimmer's version in Cincy and is known for his prowess in bothe defending the run and pass (his 6 INT's in '07 still seem fresh in my mind). Plus, he's coming off an injury, so he would come cheap. Finally, he may want to end his career in his home state. Just a thought. SKEWER AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

He would have to come cheap but he would be a better option than what we have now.

It's really not a high priority position looking back on Kiffin's history or Marinelli's for that matter. So they might just use someone already on the roster or get a cheap free agent-not that it can't be Howard, it's just not a big deal position. Kiffin had guys like Al Singleton, Ryan Nece, Ian Gold. Nick Roach has been playing it in the Bears scheme. Jerry has already hinted Kyle Wilber.

I always think of him because he's a guy we targeted in Parcells' first year to play the SOLB when we still ran Zimmers' 43. He was a very solid player and didn't cost a ton. I see no reason we can't find another one like him somewhere.

    He had impressive measureables pre-draft.

Would he be the starter in Cincinnati if he returns?

Why do we have to constantly go after guys who are over 30? I don't get it. Rather roll with what we have. We have young guys that can step in and fill the role. Also we can still sign sims who paired with Lee and Carter make a pretty damn good trio of LB. Pass

Let's give Wilbur and Albright a chance. They are already on the roster and both are young. The SAM in this scheme will not have to take on tackles anymore, so I think both those guys can man the position. So they both have the size to play the position.

Also, Ware, Rat, Hatch, Spears and Spencer are all in the their late 20's early 30's. We need to get younger on the squad.

And whom do you think he would be better? I've yet to see a positional analysis of the 4-3.

Albright looked like a serviceable starter in every game he played. Not amazing, mind you, but good enough

Sometimes that is all you need with good coaching and a reliable scheme.

It will be Wilber....this defense suits him better anyhow.

Guy isn't a pass rusher and not terrific in space, but strong and capable of playing the run well.

I hope so. The Cowboys need him to develop along with Coale, Hanna and Crawford.
