Glad to see Rolle getting some good press. He's a steal at #11.

I think Pollack is too high IMO.

Alex Smith is going to move into the top ten. It's just a matter of time.

Rod Wright is staying in school.

I'd be interesting to know what the scores on the side represent formula-wise. Some have deductions which I guess are character issues, lack of size, etc.

Will fix that - I use coachscouts rating as a starting point and adjust for issues, opinions, over/under rated etc. Those are my adjustments.

I'd take it - I wonder if we can get Williamson in trade down and add picks.

What do the numbers to the far left represent Nors?

That was their original ranking, XXX means either underclassman added or a player added not in initial Listing.

I then continue to sort and adjust as the process continues up to draft.

If we're truly going to the 3-4 (and I hope we do), I'd love to see us grab Merriman at 11 and Shaun Cody with our second 1st rounder.

That's assuming that through the individual workouts and the combine Merriman proves to have the speed and mobility that I think he will. If he works out like I think he will and his character seems okay, pick #11 shouldn't be too high for him.

Cody would be an ideal end in a 3-4. He'd be able to hold up against the run and would be great rushing the passer.

I heard that New England was paying a lot of attention to Cody at the Senior bowl and he already told them he wouldn't mind moving to 3-4 end.

Those two guys would go a long way toward making a 3-4 very effective in Dallas. Throw in a free agent or two and many of our existing players and you'd have a 3-4 that could really get after the QB.

    11. Merriman
    20. Cody

    Free agency:
    Williams NT
    Hartwell ILB.

    Viola! Instant 3-4!

Are you saying Canty is a OLB/DE type Hybrid? Or a DE/DT type hybrid?

    He's 290+ lbs, I don't think he's a OLB in any system.

Both are 3-4 DE's - both in 290-295 range and have played for coaches that have BB/BP backgrounds.....Saben/Groh

I'd take a Merriman in one, Canty in round 2 or later - with injury he could drop.

    Take Jon Scott out.

    Move Frye Down a skosh.

I just moved him up 6 ticks....

Frye will go where I have him. He's this years Roth. I was rediculed for having the "small Evans" in my top 15.

Where does Merriman go? How far does Canty Fall? Any thoughts on The byu Safety? Where does he go?

Frye is maybe this year's Losman. If I were Frye and I was trying to be this year's Roth I'd keep the Sophmore QB off the 1st team All Mac team. Roth was 37/10 his Senior year. You don't want to know what Frye did. Roth's vs Frye's completion %? Miami of OH vs Akron as a place to groom a QB in a passing offense. Called the cradle of coaches for a reason. Roth vs Frye is a huge disservice to Roth.

I've got Francisco on tape 5 times but I haven't really paid attention to safeties at all this year. Poppinga is who I want off that team. 260 has played DE and LB. If we draft a safety to groom behind the FA we sign I want Kerry Rhodes or Keon Newson day 2.

This Francisco kid is a player. He made plays in that last game that translate to Sundays in a big way.

Still want that S from Georgia! You evaded Merriman and Canty?

Merriman 10-20. What Babin would do vs real competition.

Canty late 2 ish. Depends on how knee checks out. This would be a Pioli/BB pick. Let Jarvis Green walk. Go with Seymour, Warren, Hill, Canty rotation at DE.

Bunta Cain at 3-4 LB, Have Klecko in the wings.

Not lost on me - Seymour has been injured / out past two Pats win. Think GREEN, JARVIS. LSU schooled!

no - dont think thats going to happen-

he is a burner in a thin wideout draft- After Mike williams, Braylon Edwards and him there is a significant drop off. He might not even be there at 20- then I would say trade down.
