    Rob Ryan blitzes by nature. He's not given to sitting in eight deep zones and letting the offense dictate to his unit. Yesterday, however, Ryan faced a Washington offense that was prepared for his blitz packages.

    The Redskins have been very good at handling blitzes, containing New York's and Arizona's rushes. In the first half at Cowboys stadium, they mothballed their bootleg passes and used straight play action off inside and edge throws to beat Ryan's pressure. Ryan used measured blitzing, with modest success. He kept the Redskins out of the end zone, but surrendered good-sized chunks of yardage when he brought a 5th or 6th man:
