I don't see much to make him special in the NFL. He has some speed and is big. He is like Brandon Jacobs. I don't think Bradon Jacobs is a starting quality back and will be exposed now that Tiki is gone.
This shows me nothing.
Houston isn't exactly known for punching out great players
I would like to see a big back on the team. 3rd and 1 was a bad down for us!
Granted, Battle may be a long shot, but...with his physical size, and the speed that he has for his size, hopefully, he'll get a shot to show what he can, or can't do. At this time of the year though, what else do we have to discuss on here but something like this, eh.
Keep in mind this is a highlight film - it's designed to make him look good.
While watching his youtube highlights, he reminded me a little of Lawrence McCutcheon.
That is a good discription......and if he helps us like Jacobs does the giants...then we did great.
And it didn't even do much of that. At least not in the first minute. I got bored.
i think they showed the same play, about 4 times, to like 4 different songs. I was like ***? It seemed really annoying and boring, and more hype than reality.
The word from sports radio 610 here in Houston Matt Jackson is a UofH alumni and follows he team in depth. The word on battle is he hates to play special teams and has no desire to be a wedge type fb busting up people
Bad for who> u must not saw MBIII
if you want to see his pro workout, goto this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CECS_WsOPU4
thats probably his ticket playing special teams so tough cookies. do it or get lost.
I know that they where talking about him tonight again and talked about that how in college he hated special teams and balked at it. They even said if he wants to make it in the Pro's he going to have to make a roster on special teams
Just putting out the info I heard about him here in Houston
I believe we had one of the lowest conversion rates in the NFL on 3rd and 4th & 1.
His measurables were absolutely astounding at his prday. i dont know the conditions he was running on but a 4.43 40, a 41" vert and the braodjump were tremendous for a 240 lbs man. His agility testing looked really good too but i dont knw what his times were.
If "it" is the new name for "training camp fodder," then Jackie Battle sure as hell has "it."
Who cares man?
where did our starting QB come from?
how about T Owens?
people can rise from small schools and be good so that excuse sucks.....and the video if you watched it....it showed that he has good speed and great power but your to busy bashing the idea that he could be good.
Why do highlight films consistently have the worst music I have ever heard?
I must be getting too old.
