Nothing. The issue is more conditioning. That is why Cook could play. He was in shape.

    all of this.....

...especially the part about that he likely doesn't play...if he does, I would think that Tony's cadence could cause him to jump early since he isn't accustomed to it yet...I would still take my chances there :D

Yes I would pay a Pro Bowl caliber gaurd 3 mill however I think the contract of 1.5 for a 36 year old gaurd who has not seen the field in over a year is the right call for the Cowboys. I hope Waters lives up to the expectations that people are placing on him and I hope he gets his 3 mill but I will not sit here and say this is a sure thing. I don't know how he will play, I don't know how he will hold up. Believe me I too have high hopes but I also think Jones handled this correctly you don't just hand out a big contract because a player wants it. That has not always been the case with Jerry

I'm saying it takes 2 to tango and while it is easy to dump on Jerry without knowing what took place in negoitions what was being demanded, what was being offered and what the final deal was this just becomes a case of people spinning based on their own bias. Bottom line for me Dallas was interested in Moore and Waters they were in contact and they got Water signed. Pretty much end of story.

Conditioning may or may not be an issue with Waters, but I was only addressing the playbook concern.

Cook was in training camp with the Dolphins. And was with us for less than two weeks, and still played after Costa's injury in the first series. Waters will play, probably after the first series IMO. To confuse the Giants front four...

In listening to his interview yesterday, he said something along the lines, getting ready physically is going to be tougher then the mental part.

I was teasing in my earlier post. But for those to say Jerry had the authority to make Waters sign at a certain time is a bit far fetched, when there are two parties involved.

No don't think so, because if he was, he would already be doing Viagra commercials, selling that little pill with a star on it. Dallas Cowboys branded Viagra for everyone! :)

I think it is fair to say that for any player not going through camp or preseason that conditioning is going to be an issue. Hard to get in game shape not playing games
