I have listened, argued points, felt furstrated and even helpless over our current issues. I am not going to characterize this as an election because I think it's much more then that. Times in this country are going to get much worse. I think it is inevitable. The 700 Bill was unwise IMO. To say that there will be much more oversite in this Bill then there has been in the past is pretty silly. How much oversite can be effected when you have to start providing funds in the space of a week or two? I mean, even if you wanted to provide more oversite, you could not get it done in that amount of time. I've watched the people who are now responsible for running the 700 Bill and from what I can see, they are all the same people who were involved in the original mess. The loans that were handed out to various people were set up much like SNLs. We saw what happened to the SNLs 10 years ago and we've allowed it to happen again. I wonder if you looked back at the SNL scandel 10 years ago, would we find the same guys responsible for that? I think this Bill should be resended and Mortages should just be reset. Fear is driving the market. Fear of losing your homes. Stablize that market and stocks will follow. People are losing money because they are pulling money out of stocks. You have to rebound the housing market so that confidence can come back and the stock market can right itself. We are fighting a War overseas that can be won. I think we should listen to our Commanders on the ground and finish what we have started. I am all for pulling out if we can depend on the fact that we will not have to go back. If we have to go back, it just costs more money and lives. Finish it and move on. The bigger issue, IMO, is the fact that we seem to be willing to allow socialistic, Marxist principles to replace Capitalisam. This really bothers me. Not just financially but in our educational system, in our political views, in this belief that we are entitled to certain things. We are willing to look past things that we would never have looked past before, on both sides. It's not good for the Country. I think we all have to ask ourselves, who do we trust to lead us. Who can we trust to lead us? If you believe that you can trust Obama more, then that's who you should vote for. If you believe you can turst McCain more, then that's who you should vote for. I think times are going to get a lot harder in the days to come. Neither one of these Candidates have a quick fix for what is wrong. Both of these candidates are going to be forced to deal with two issues for the better part of the 4 years they are in office. Those two issues are going to be Economy and the War. All other issues, IMO, are not going to be addressed. How can they be? I don't believe that either of these guys will be around for a second term. Vote for who you believe will be the most honest with the American people. Neither knows how to fix it. I think the best we can hope for is somebody who will be honest with us and try to do what is best for us. Vote your conscions.
