Looks the making of another favorite movie thread...
The Big Lebowski is a riot for comedy.
The Proposition is a great period/western/drama.
Just go to the Cowboys official website and click on "Wade Phillips news conference."
DeNiro is on my mind today, so here are my two suggestions:
Drama: A Bronx Tale
Comedy: Midnight Run
Thanks, they laid off everyone at my job about 500 employees so I'm bored for the next week or so. need to laugh....
Comedy: Office Space
Drama: Man on Fire
Drama: The Pianist
Comedy: A Fish Called Wanda
A little of both: Shakespeare in Love or Harlem Nights
I'm sorry to hear that.
Since we are talking DeNiro
Men of Honor (very while done)
Wag The Dog
Meet The Parents
Hate to here that good luck in your search
Movies you may or may not have heard of...
Second hand lions, more of a family movie but good.
Formula 51 (action/comedy with Samuel Jackson in it).
Barry Gordies (sp?) The Last Dragon. This is an 80's movie. It's one of those things that is really bad but in a good way. SHO NUFF
Fly Boys - Good movie about american men volunteering to the French to fly airplanes before the USA got involved with the war.
Yellowbeard - 80's movie that is basically a monty phython movie but not officially a monty phython movie...if that makes sense. Love the movie though, really has some great lines.
Anything Deniro will work IMO.
+1 on Secondhand Lions
True Romance is tops.
The World's Fastest Indian.
Saving Private Ran is a terrific movie to help put things back into perspective.
If you can stomach westerns, try Open Range or do yourself a favor and get the Trinity trilogy.
I've always thought that Spartan is a very underrated movie.
Yeah if you got laid off, Office Space may depress you.
Then again, it will definitely make you laugh. Do you know how to launder money?
A good drama: House of Sand and Fog. It is depressing though.
Really funny: PCU
BTW, from another thread you suggested The Devil's Backbone. It was excellent.
Depends on the rating of the movie you are looking for. Forrest Hump is pretty good. :laugh2:
Even if he does not know how to launder, by the dictionary definition , he can always steal some work property and destroy it in some open field. :laugh2:
