I don't know where Romo will ultimately be ranked all-time, probably as an irrelevance unless he can start getting into the playoffs and doing something.

But his legacy will be as one of the greatest chokers of this sports era.

I agree that neither are elite, however, I believe Romo is a better QB than Ryan. QB rating bares that out as well. Romo is roughly 5 points better than Ryan.

Both have a cruddy playoff record.

The excuse for Romo has been that his teammates have held him back. The same fan be said for Ryan. I think they are both good QBs, but both have some big flaws in their game. If they didn't, they would be elite.

You got to figure Marino and Moon are ranked ahead of him.

I don't think so. I really can't tell much difference. Ryan was drafted. That's about it. I will give Romo credit from coming from nowhere to become the starter of America's team though.

Fauts, Tarkenton, Jim Kelly definitely ahead as well.

McNair, McNabb, Cunningham, Gannon, and Ken Anderson would probably get the nod over Romo as well.

Romo would probably get grouped somewhere with Phillip Rivers, Jaworski, Neil O'Donnell, Kerry Collins, Jeff Garcia, Matt Hasselbeck, etc.

    What is Romo's big flaw?

    Many would say Jim Kelly.
Others would add Tarkenton, Fouts, and some others too.

Ranking players in general is speculative. I sure don't have an answer.

    All in your opinion.
You are entitled to it, but this is so far over the top silly.
Huge negative bias against Romo obviously.

    Neil freaking O'Donnell?
    KERRY COLLINS!?!

This post needs to be tagged to forever display your vile...uh...dislike for Romo as a QB.

You just lowered the IQ of this entire site

Turnovers in high pressure situations. I could be more specific, but I doubt it would make a difference.

I went to the site and read the list. The only disagreement I have with the Top 25 is Brett Favre being as high as he is.

Otherwise, I think you all will find that it's a very good list, but I don't think most will or have read past the OP.

Speaking of pass rating, check out the defensive pass ratings of Romo's and Ryan's teams in the playoffs.

Witten is most likely a 1st ballot Hall of Famer.

If so, he'll be the first 1st ballot Hall of Fame TE in the entire history of NFL.

Absent any more playoff success, unfortunately Tony will not be remembered as being better than Fouts, Marino, Tarkenton, or Kelly. Those guys never won a Super Bowl, but they at least consistently led their teams to the playoffs (Fouts less than the others, I think), and Kelly and Tarkenton helped get their teams to the big game. And even though I think he's been better than McNabb, you could make a decent argument McNabb was the better player.

Hopefully he and the team render this all moot. ;)

Could you use some specific metrics? Anecdotes kind of suck.
