Is this even a question? Like really?

It's Peyton and it's not even close at all. Way more consistent. Eli has not done anything other than the 2 Super Bowl runs. Peyton has also been to 2 Super Bowls but he also didn't disappear in his other seasons. He consistently had his team a contender and one of the best in the league. Eli can't say that.

When I think of best QBs in the league, Eli doesn't even enter my mind.

    Selective memory?

He and his team have also gone one and done three times and had some epically bad playoff performances. People seem to forget that--which is at least somewhat understandable given how he played last year.

Nobody but a Vagiant fan would even consider this question.

Didn't you watch football last year and see the same team tat Peyton won AFC championships with, knish 2-14?

This conversation, along with the word "elite" should be retired in the football world

Peyton's one of the best QBs of all time but I'd bet he'd trade his career for Eli's at the present moment, the same way Dan Marino would trade his for Trent Dilfer's.

For ninety percent of players the rings are the only thing that matters.

No way! Why would he? For just another ring? Peyton will be remembered 30 years from now as a very well established QB who holds tons of records and is thought of by peers and writers and everyone as maybe the best ever.

Eli, not so much. I don't think history will look very kindly on Eli's career as it stands now as a whole. Not consistent at all. And besides his 2 late runs to get a Super Bowl, his career has been very average at best.

Now, if Peyton had 0 rings at all, the maybe you have an argument. He has his, though and everything else about his career.

Peyton may very well tie up Eli anyway this year.

    Peyton by far.

    Exactly.

This isn't even an actual argument or debate. Eli is no where near the QB that Peyton is and if he were the Giants would already have even more Superbowls.

I disagree with both of those.

    Neither would trade their careers.

BTW, Peyton did win a SB and he very well may win a second one this year. Plus he just has had a FAR better career than Eli has so far. Peyton would hang himself if he sucked as bad as Eli has in some of his seasons.

And I can't even believe you think Marino would trade his HOF career for Dilfer's career and backing into a SB ring. No chance.

The only QB's who should be compared to Peyton Manning are the ones with names like Montana and Marino.

Would you believe it if Marino told you himself?

    No. Actually I wouldn't. Marino's career for Dilfer's? No.
Marino would trade his HOF career for a flash in the pan JAG season or two that just so happens to get him a ring.
It sounds good in print...but no way.

Peyton and it isn't even close. Eli is a hell of a QB though, one of the best in the league, but Peyton is an All Timer

I think it was for looking the most clueless on the sideline.
