do other teams game plan around Lee? Get back to me when that starts to happen.
Not disagreeing with what you say about Lee but I don't understand the Ware criticism. I understand he gets caught offside but that is the "price" we pay in order for him to be the special player that he is. If I can remember he had a couple clutch plays this year late in the game (maybe Giants game? I forget). It's just a little much to say he is prone to being called late in the games. Lee's position isn't one where you are going to see penalties called against him often. Ware's job is to jump the line and simple laws of probability are going to point towards him getting flagged.
...Snyder to make Ware the highest paid non-QB in the league if he hit the bricks right now.
It already has.
Yes, of course they do. You think they don't? :laugh1:
Ware and its not really that close.
Lee is up and coming but Ware can take over a game.
I'd also have to say Carr right now is better than Lee(Just a tad). Teams are not throwing to his side of the field and he hasn't allowed a catch in 25 attempts.
All in all its no slight at any player because they are all key cogs to the defense.
Where do you go to find stats on corners?
OK. I'll use Bob Sturm as a reference again.
He records what he calls 'splash' plays. According to him, Ware has 9 so far this season. Lee has 3.
Of course, it is not all about splash or impact plays, and we are lucky to have Sean Lee bolstering our defense, but Ware is one of the greatest players to ever grace the NFL. He is a shoe-in for Ring of Honor and Hall of Fame. Lee might get there, but he is not there yet, and it is doubtful that he will ever reach Ware's level. Few players will.
I've been looking on there but can't seem to find it... Do you have to be premium?
Thanks, I wish you could just search a player though and get the PFF stats. I'm curious about Claiborne.
I do too but i am not willing to pay for that junk.
If you want to make a case for Carr over Lee I guess you can point to the KC pass defense this season. Carr was a very low key player ( I feel like) on that team playing with the "outstanding secondary" with Flowers and Eric Berry. When they let Carr walk everybody said Routt would come in and KC would still be an elite secondary. Carr comes to Dallas and we now have the (currently) best pass defense in the NFL and KC has been atrocious.
So much for KC not missing Carr.
I was very happy when we signed Carr, but even I'll admit I underrated him. He has been quite the $50 mil surprise.
Well lets look at it this way when the other team breaks the huddle I betcha they are locating where Ware is lined up first
Your sig pic is upside down.
I find it comical that everyone saying its not close cant even make a legit argument and just say this is a stupid question and not even close. At least make a legit argument.
