Really? Damn, I was trying to lighten the mood. Guess you're just too pissed about your corn flakes.
I love this forum sometimes.
The fact you feel that way or took it that way, I can't blame you.
It's the internet after all. No hard feelings man.
It's all good. Never had any hard feelings with you on this subject or any others.
Oh then in that case....
Same here brother.....
I think that's what plays into it, dude played for 3+ weeks with his life on the line, and now for him to be amongst league leaders in receptions is sweet. As for the "comparison" Megatron is just a good benchmark as a target in the passing game.
This I can't argue with.
Hey I love Witten, I just saw Witten and Megatron, and thought it was weird to see the 2 in the same sentence.
The refs robbed Witten of a TD on Sunday. Should have been six.
Witten will never match Legatron's FG production......
Yet another hollow record for these Cowboys
You've heard of "finesse teams"? Well, we are a "stats team." We have the leading passer in Cowboys' history, but only one playoff victory in that time. We stopped a game in the middle of a 5-11 season to celebrate the league's all-time leading rusher about 5 years after his prime years were over.
Lucky to have Witten. Just wish he would have gotten in on those near TDs. :laugh2:
Thats the only thing lacking. TDs.
We're witnessing the best TE performance we'll likely ever see in our lifetime. And for some fans it just isn't good enough.
So much silly in this thread..
Hollow? We wouldn't be sniffing playoff contention without it. Those receptions all mattered.
Back to discussing Witten, he started the season with announcers and sports writers questioning if his spleen injury had put him over the hill.
Now he is 4 catches away from the league lead.
What an amazing player. If Dallas goes anywhere this year, it rests heavily on his performance. Dallas would have never beaten the Eagles without his clutch catches.
If you subscribe to the notion that we are predestined to fail, then everything and anything can be deemed hollow.
Dez does have 71 receptions, two less than Tony Gonzales. That ranks him 9th in the league. Dez has been targeted 103 times while Witten has been targeted 122 times. They aren't sacrificing any touches from Dez just to feed Witten. The ball is being spread around. Miles has been targeted 87 times and has caught 51 of them. That is a pretty good total considering how many snaps he has missed this season.
