I cant believe this was even a worthwhile thought truthfully
Welcome to CZ!
He did have a role with this team. He played alot of snaps as our blocking TE/3rd OT. Garrett praised him for his effort and accpeting his role and performing it well. He was one of the best, if not the best in the league at blocking. He left for a chance to start, which he wasn't going to get with Witten here, understandably.
People who harbor ill feelings towards him or say he dogged it simply had it out for him to begin with. His first two years here weren't the same as his last two.
..and it still would have been smart to keep him for that salary. He wouldn't have stayed though, because he wanted a chance to be a bigger part of the passing game, which he wouldn't have gotten to be here with all the start we have. Understandable why he left, but we miss his blocking.. and he worked hard at it his last couple years here, and excelled at it.
As for him being better than Witten.. that's just silly.
And yet MB was/is still a bum!
Oh my gosh.. its like you said it again and now its true!
fixed it for ya
What a clever boy you are..
Well, not nearly as clever as you are, but Im still capable of seeing that MB is/was a bum!
Most certainly was. When Witt was hurt, there was a lot of that talk on this board.
It's not Bennett hate. It's obsession syndrome with all things Giants. Just like the Romo/Eli thread.
Did you see Hard Knocks during his rookie year?
I think that the reality is that Witten was more talented and MB wanted to be paid as a starter. We were not going to get into a bidding War over a player that didn't really want to be here. We brought in a good prospect and MB got what he wanted. He went to a Division foe, got his chance to start and show he was a superior talent and got paid.
Im very happy he is happy that he is no longer being out-shaded by a tall tree.
Alot of people think they are capable of seeing alot of things..
Maybe one day you'll be able to make things happen simply by saying it over and over again. Keep trying.
Lets see Witten with 103 catches 983 yards and 2 touchdowns...
Bennett...54 catches 611 yards and 5 tds...
Well those are great numbers for Bennett...
But he is 26 next month. No I dont miss him.
Not stupid at all, any one of the Cowboys is expendable for the right trade minus Romo, top notch QB's are too difficult to develop/draft.
Sure glad I never bought a Bennett jersey.
Otherwise I'd be in here defending MB, too.
