I’d bring him in for a workout. Why not? The dude just wanted to win here. His passion and desire to win got misconstrued as being a malcontent, but players like Brady etc are seen as having that competitive nature when they have sideline outbursts.

Dez bleeds Blue and Silver.

Crayton was very good at it, and never had close to the strength, speed, or agility of Dez. Duane Harris similarly. It's a knack for seeing the field and choosing your path. Dez had it.

He does need to get his legs back, but he should be healed up from former wear and tear by now.
More to it than just seeing the field and choosing your path.

Stephen's reply to Dez's talk couldn't have been less open to a looksee.

It was basically, a predictable token of respect for his past contributions.

Dez has burned his bridges behind him, dissing his team after leaving it.

I won’t argue with anyone who says Dez had:
  • Too many drops post big contract
  • Too many injuries
  • A limited route tree
  • An issue controlling his emotions
But I will argue that there’s more chance of him making an impact on the roster than Lance Lenoir or Codey McElroy.

We’re talking about the 90th spot on the roster for a guy that is only 31 and at 27 was a top 5 reciever in the league and the best RedZone weapon in the game. It costs a UDFA spot to look at him and he can be sent packing at any time....I don’t see the downside in taking a look.

Here is the problem with that scenario, cap hit! Those two or any equivalent would cost 480k, where Dez will be ????? At 27 pre injury yes he was a top 10 receiver and one of the top red zone threats. It’s a large gamble to think he still is and at what cost to cap space. We have to pay a lot of players as we only have like twenty something players currently under contract.

He loses concentration
he drops balls
he can only run 2 routes
he hasnt played in 3 years (or had a productive season in 6) and is coming off an injury
if hes a real Cowboy why did he say he wants the Steelers- He'll go to whoever takes him
was so immature he needed a babysitter
he only said Garrett sucks cause Garret got rid of him
his chemistry with Dak was horrible

he'll be bombing in the XFL if you need to see him play again so badly
He’s going to be a 4th receiver lol. All he needs to do is run 2 routes and play to his strengths. Literally will get 8-10 snaps a game at most. This team is soft as charmin, at least he gives us some dog

Last time he played, due to poor rehabbing, he no longer possessed those strengths.

Last time he played he was 69 catches for 838 yards and 6 tubs as the number 1 receiver vs number 1 corners.

As your fourth receiver vs god knows who they try to throw on him he’s a threat. If he’s in the shape that they claim he’s in then he can run fades and slants 8-10 times a game with no issue. When you play limited snaps, it allows you to be fresh and explosive rather than trying to maintain that all game. The man deserves a try out

he had a broken leg and an Achilles problem.

you try running with that.
LOL His running wasn't the problem, it was his catching. Even to this day you are hopelessly making excuses for this fool. You are not thinking with a rational mind because you are not remember how the actual events played out with Dez. Instead you think Dez was great, was always great and is still great to this day. As long as you keep thinking that way then you will continue to be flawed in your thinking.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/stephen-jones-dez-bryant-texted-150028444.html Dez wants to sign a deal with the Cowboys and Stephen is discussing it in the media. The artickle goes on to say that a 1 day deal is far more conceivable.

  • Dez has passion.
  • Red Zone threat.
  • Could be a 600 yd 7 TD receiver.
  • Is open to taking on any role.
  • Would be great out of the slot.
  • A chain mover.
  • The man is a real Cowboy, born and breed.
  • Dez knew that Garrett sucked.

Dez would be a great bridge in this new offense that creates specific roles for skill players in certain down and distances. MM created schemes in GB to manufacture efficiency on 3rd downs and in the red-zone. I think Dez has been humbled and this is a chance for Dez and the Cowboys to redeem themselves. The Boys took Witten back and they should do the same for Dez. Just give the man an opportunity, he deserves that.

Go Dallas!!!

Have you watched All or Nothing?

Dez is a turd.

I always fall into that momentary nostalgic trap every time. I think because I remember the Year of the Catch and how magical it all felt. Romo could throw the ball blind into the bleachers and Dem could go up and get it. What a shame of wasted talent.
I wish we would be getting that guy that caught that ball, but that guy no longer exists.

Not sure what you're trying to say. It was considered a terrible year for Dez, the numbers he did have being the result of volume and no one else to throw to. He was extremely ineffective.
