LOL.....wild offseason for sure
But is it?!Highly unlikely he comes to Dallas. But it would be wild.
If you brought in Brady, I don't think it would be for backup duty.
I imagine Brady might have enough left in the tank with good offensive line and weapons.
HOWEVER...that means you lose Dak.
You can't trade him unless you sign and trade or do the tag situation and someone agrees to terms.
And even if you did do that, you would have to hope for a good QB prospect to draft because Tom at best only has a couple years left in him if that.
Either way I doubt you would have both on your roster at the same time.

I agree.
Trying to handle or juggle both would be tough, if not impossible. You would essentially have to have a deal agreed to with Brady, and a trade deal for Dak in place and execute them in rapid-fire succession.
Why would anyone want Brady? He has nowhere to go but down and at his age, the decline would be sharp and fast. It has already begun and is likely to be lightning quick.
If Jerry and co. don't want to pay Dak, I'd much rather start over via draft or a younger FA than cling to a 43 year-old Brady.
This is a test of Jerry's "I want a Super Bowl Now" versus "I want the best for the Cowboys" thinking. He might make a play if he convinces himself its in the fans best interest to celebrate with him.
On the other hand, BigMc has said he prefers to work with a younger QB. Of course, there's likely no coach who would pass up the opportunity at a Super Bowl in his first season with a new team.
Hard to see it, but you never know what goes through the old man's mind when the blue label kicks in.
I think Brady would go to San Francisco if they decided to go after him but IDK.
How would you trade Dak? No guarantee he's signing a tag UNLESS he KNOWS he's getting what he wants or going to a team of his choice. OR he could sign the tag immediately and then refuse to agree to a long-term deal with a the trading team. That would leave the Cowboys with only 2 options......rescind the tag ( making him a FA) or keep him for one year.
Bottom line, IF they want Brady on this team, even short term, you probably have just let Dak walk. Trade complicates things........you may scare Brade off and be left with a ticked-off Dak.
My guess is he’s getting the chance to see what offers look like and won’t be happy with them but will set the market for NE to sign him
