Jerry will do whatever keeps us firmly planted into mediocrity.

I’d be shocked if whoever acquires Brady doesn’t have a deep playoff run while we’re watching it and making excuses about our defense or something.
And you will ***** no matter which way Jerry goes.

Why on earth would Brady agree to be a backup? He'd sooner retire. And he isn't going anywhere where he can't win a SB right now. That's a select group. Which one of those alleged "win now" teams needs a rental QB? We give up on Dak? 49ers give up on Jimmy? Or does a team just tell their regular starter to sit this one out while they play Brady for a year or two? Maybe Tennessee?

i'll believe he won't be a patriot when i see it.
one team to watch...tampa bay.
bruce arians loves veteran QBs and there is a fmr patriot in the GM spot.
but i think he stays.

I don't believe Brady will leave NE, but I do believe he will get some lucrative offers and some may even be for more money than he returns to NE for. Some of these teams with lots of cap space and not many players to spend it on could offer Brady a very large 1-2 year deal in the 35-40 range.

Pay less for Brady than you would Wacky Dacky
Draft a QB in the 1st round, focus on defense for the next 2 drafts
Sign some other key fillers in FA, whether that's TE or defense (DT, LB, CB)

Make/Win Super Bowl 2020, 2021, 2022 and beyond. Dak goes elsewhere, is quickly forgotten about after 3 seasons...you know that'll happen

edit: Skipped a number.

BTW for all the folks sayinig Jerry won't fire JG, look where JG's at now! (Don't say he wasn't fired either)

For all the folks saying Brady is going nowhere, look at what's happening!

So for all the folks shouting Dak's not going anywhere...until that happens you just don't know, and why dismiss wishful thinking anyway? You know you'll be giggling when you wake up to "Blockbuster News - Brady Signs with Dallas for 2 Years!!!"
You're the 2nd person I've seen using the moniker Wacky Dacky.
Are you guys from the 60's?

Tell you what: Tom Brady being a team's QB will fill stadiums for sure.

I'm down with Brady for one-two years under McCarthy, handing the ball to Zeke and throwing to Cooper and Gallup. Yes, that works for me.

Great, now we still have the big problem of the defense.

But is it?!

The front office is going throw down 30 mill on a QB. Why not Brady?

Jerry's a business man too. There's probably not many players in the league who can do for sales and marketing what Brady could
Cause Brady isn't better than Dak at this point in their careers. Maybe 3-5 years ago but right now Dak at 34 million is better than Brady at 30 plus.

Reason enough for the old man to sign him. Half of Patriot's nation buy tickets and jerseys and seek Jerry's autograph. With a Super Bowl all is forgiven and Cowboy land is back to normal!

lol, Brady is easily better than Dak and will likely be until he’s 65 years old. If we had a realistic chance to bring him here it might be exciting, but I really can’t think of any reason why Brady would come here. This isn’t exactly a model organization.

The dark side is strong with this one. Embrace your Dak hate. LOL

I don't even hate Dak. I hate the fact that we are gonna make an average QB the highest paid player in the NFL. I don't think that's unreasonable at all. Actually I'm complementing him in a way. A average QB that went in the fourth round for a top 5 pick..That's a pretty good return for Dak.
