I know, thats very general. Specifics are important. However, its also looking like WR could be the best value at 17, and most of the defenders could be reaches.

How would you react if they go WR in the first?

Needs to be a 4.3 or less speedster that is a complete receiver and it's ok.

Jeudy or Lamb and letting Amari walk might be ok if the money can be spent wisely elsewhere. Essentially conceding that the Amari trade was flat out horrendous with that move though.

If it's a stud and then we turn around and actually use the Cooper money for a defensive player in FA, I'd be ok with it.

Depends on what happens in FA.

this is a very good...very deep WR group.

and I'd be more than good with it.
adding Lamb or one of those 'bama kids to Cooooooop,Gallup and Cobb....:omg:

If the best guard was there would you take a guard?
It’s the same thing to me
You don’t reach for need but you don’t use a top pick for a guy who won’t start

If we sign DJ Reader and Mike Daniels in FA, a WR would be fine.

The answer will always be the same for me. Who else was available when they picked the WR? We can debate all year whether or not signing Cooper at $19 million a year is the right move or not, but if Dallas chose not to pay him that kind of money and then draft a WR in the first, I would be that upset. We all want the best players to sign with Dallas, but if they ask for stupid money then its better to let them go. The same is true for Dak, although in his case I would franchise him and try to trade him to someone who would pay him the money he wants.

Sign Cooper. Draft a WR in the first (Ruggs/Reagor). That should be the organization's priority for the offseason.

I don't know how anybody can watch the Chiefs and think otherwise.

When I watch the Chiefs, its not the WRs that jump off the page to me. It's the QB.

I am not sure how the top priority for this team should be a third WR, even a fast one. Note, I am not saying WR in the first is a bad idea but there are clearly other needs (depending on FA as well) that are more important than a speedy WR at 17. It depends on how the draft board falls.

If Kinlaw is there at 17, for example, I think it would be kind of foolish to pass on him to add Reagor or Ruggs.

Chiefs also had a Dominant DT named Jones who had 2 passes knocked down a sack and 3 pressures and couldnt run up the middle ...watch the game not the stats & a Honey Badger making plays

In the end, it really comes down to how the draft board starts to unfold that night. A WR at 17 isn't the worst idea ever but if the Cowboys are sitting there and they have similar grades on a WR, DT, S or CB and all four are sitting there at 17, I think it might be foolish to take the WR in that scenario. But it's very possible that if Kinlaw goes off the board before us, the best player available at 17 might, in fact, be a WR.

Yes I know who Chris Jones is. A player like that is almost impossible to acquire.

It's like saying go get someone like Aaron Donald. Every team would like to do that, it's not practical.
