Random Speculation: Chargers to sign Prescott?

I wonder about that. If you remember the taped interview he did, he had the opportunity to make his demands clear.

Instead he opted for the "you tell me" answer when he was asked point blank if he thought he was worth $40 million. He didn't come over as polite or easy to work with in that interview. At least a few people around the league were left less than impressed by his demeanor.
We won't know until that mind-wringing contract gets signed and we, like the nosey-rosies we are, learn the details.
Then some clarification will appear.

What we, or anyone else, think is largely irrelevant.

He could sign for something that will shock us. Good, or bad.
We don't know. We just jerk to what we fear and argue over.

Sorry for my injection of unwanted philosophy.

But I just saw that David Spade still has a career and it made me question things.

Not a problem. Been scouring forums, NFL rumors, and anywhere else his name might be mentioned.

Yeah, he's not the most wanted man around the league right now. Could be people are steering clear because they can't afford him, or won't pay his price.

Could be waiting for that tag situation to see how much they have to bid.

I think price is the key and most don't want to pay it. So we're stuck with him.

And gee have you and the others that are so unimpressed by that have given ANY thought to oh lets say Prescott's attitude and the way he handled himself for the last 4 years and what an agent probably drilled into him to say to questions asked to him in interviews now until his new deal is done? You don't think that his agent has told him that if you trust me then this is what you have to say for this kind of question and this is what you have to say for that kind of question? You you no doubt now think that the humble team first guy his 1st 4 years was all just a lie and the now coached up version is the real Prescott? Lets just forget what he said a year ago when he said that he's already making more money that anyone in his family ever made in their entire life. Ya that sound like a guy that is greedy and looking to get what some sportswriters have proclaimed he's asking for even though those sportswriters haven't sat in on any negotiations at any time.. Much of the public is just eating up what Prescott's agent has told him to say.

Must be evening as the hyperbole is making it's presence.

I wish I didn't feel like so many were cheering for the team to be in cap hell... but it sure feels like it. Dak at $30 mil with the way things are right now in the NFL, is one thing... Dak @ $38+ screw that...

I don't want Dak, but my reason is the same as I have always said... The most valuable franchise in sports should be able to have their Brady/Brees/Mahomes, etc... by now...

Or at least have the best defense out there, the best something...

Nevermind... we have the best GM!

On a side note, I liked Romo... but thought his contract was idiotic too.

OK, this has really got me scratching my head. What does a comedy actor still acting have to do with the Cowboys and Prescott?

Spade is the most annoying worm on earth. Hard to believe he was once married to julie bowen. She must have been on psychotropic drugs at the time.

Jets, Bills, e-girls, Saints, packers.

So Dak "choked" in the Packers game where he had 463 yards passing? When he brought the team back from a 31-3 deficit caused by the defense and the fact Amari Cooper let a TD go through his hands for a pick?

Or the Bills game where he had 355 yards passing but the defense collapsed?

Or the Bears game where he 334 yards passing but the defense gave up 24 straight points?

Or the Jets game where both his OTs and WR went out with injuries? That they still would have won if the defense didn't give up a 92 yard TD pass?

And which Eagles game? The one Dallas won by 27 points or the one Dak played in with an injury that keeps most QBs on the sideline - and Carson Wentz in Intensive Care?

You have a very odd definition of choking.

It's already been talked about. So many of his stats were during garbage time. That packers game was over before halftime. Why is that people like yourself want to blame the defense, coaches, special teams, receivers, and everything but Dak? There were many times where the offense put the defense in bad positions. Stats don't tell the whole story and you know it. Once again they were 1st in yards but that is it. They were hot garbage in the redzone.

Just how many times did the offense put the defense in bad position? I can tell you the defense/special teams only gave the offense starting field position in opponents territory 13 total times in 2019. It was absolutely pathetic. You have any numbers on how often the offense put the defense in bad position?

Because I actually watched the games. There is no serious person in or around the NFL that would say Dak "choked" in any of those games.
