The longer they wait, the more Jerry will pay. The more Jerry pays, the more the haters will implode! Can't wait!!!! Lol!! I don't want Dak to set the market, but I think it will be worth it just to see some of theses guys go off!!!!!

It didn't stop the Wentz and Goff deal from getting done. And those guys had years left on their deals.

The Eagles and Rams are two of the most aggressive (for better or worse) front offices in the league. They get the players they want as quickly as possible. Wentz (injury) and Goff (talent/career season) also had reasons to get their money before being exposed. Dallas is historically slow to make moves and Dak has no reason to not wait. I don’t think the situations are very comparable.

Unlike Dak in the final year of his contract making peanuts?

I guess you missed the new deal that they gave their running back?

OK...

What's apparent is that you're grasping at straws in a vain effort to make it appear that way.

Sounds like you're trying to see what you want to see.

WE all know the Jones's will kick the can as far down the road as they can, sign Dak for a ton, and destroy our Superbowl chances.

I'm eating lots of chili and Mexican food the day that contract is signed! I may gas the whole neighborhood and destroy my angus just to prove Ranching right!

At some point, you are just negotiating with yourself . . . or even begging. When there is no common ground and no pressure for anyone to move, why even talk? Negotiations usually require a deadline to get them moving. I'm not sure what that would be in this case. The franchise tag date? Offseason workouts? Training camp?
Of course there is no urgency on the part of the agent. He gets paid either way. Meanwhile the player and the team thrashes things out in the media with "leaked" info.

Well then what we were hearing about them not talking for 4 months was true. Wonder if that’s when we offered 33 million and they turned it down.

To me it makes sense for the Cowboys, what they are dealing with a continuation of the current CBA or a new CBA? How that could effect the cap and the amount they will be working with I would think has a big bearing on any big offers they may make.

Jones said that the team will not move forward on deals with either Prescott or wide receiver Amari Cooper until they know if this is going to be the final year of the current CBA or the first year of a new one.

If the Cowboys are all in on Dak then waiting was never the best option.

I think Cowboys tried to come to an agreement prior to the season but I have no doubt they are all in on Dak and a contract will be reached. You may doubt that I don't

This has gotta be on Daks side. The only party who benefits from prolonging the negotiations is Dak’s team. Dallas has no real advantage to waiting on this, as much as we wanna blame the Joneses it’s pretty obvious that Todd France and co are holding out for every penny possible.
Perhaps it is because the offer Dallas made in September was a joke. They wanted a 6 year deal with guaranteed money 20 million less than Goff got.

Just tag him and wait. See what Bridgewater and Tannehill go for and if the price gets outrageous then just tag and draft Fromm in the 2nd and move forward - I got no problem with that at all.

Dak does not get you 35-40 mill in value - easy decision to me. If I am paying that much the player should singlehandedly win games!
