As Dak supporters always point out, all of Dak's bad games were caused by his teammates. Now, imagine if your teammates were the Buccaneers every game. And remember, yards per season is a REALLY important stat and Winston lead the league in it (that was sarcasm btw).

How would Winston play behind Dallas' line, with Zeke behind him, throwing to Amare being coached by McCarthy? I suspect better than in Tampa.

Bridgewater just signed for $20m over Winston. Would you take Winston at $18m per year over Dak at $35m per year? $40m per year?

I would.

Put Dak in Tampa and take away a running game and lets see how he does.

I think Dak is better then him but my gosh Jameis is in Tampa trying to win games with his arm and Dak is in Dallas trying not to lose games with his.

Tampa has better receivers than we do here. And much more explosive receivers.

Lmao. In all those years, Jameis has never did anything. But the excuses keep rolling in. Anything to discredit Dak I guess.

I do..

I believe that once you pay a guy a ton of money that you have almost no shot of winning a Superbowl and pretty much all the data backs that up.. QB's that make 14% or more of their teams cap just don't win Superbowls.

So would Jameis be my first choice? No.. But for 20-25 million a year i'd take Jameis over Dak even though I think Dak is a little better.

I think you can fix some of Jameis problems by putting him in a position to not have to carry the team like Dak.. Right now he is trying to win games for Tampa while Dak is trying not to lose games for Dallas.

So all the best QB's in the NFL eventually will have no shot? LOL

You and your genius theories. Has there been ANY poster more wrong than you?

Best teams in the NFL will be the teams with the worst QB's that don't have to pay them. LOL GENIUS!!!!

You are talking to the same guy that thought Quincy Carter was a great QB.

Pretty much that is how it has gone.. You can LOL all you would like but i'm not wrong. 13% of the cap and under are winning the Superbowls.

Superbowl Winning QB's and their cap %

Year Name Cap %
1994 Young 13.10%
1995 Aikman 6.70%
1996 Favre 10.20%
1997 Elway 5.20%
1998 Elway 5.00%
1999 Warner 1.30%
2000 Dilfer 1.60%
2001 Brady 0.47%
2002 Johnson 9.60%
2003 Brady 4.40%
2004 Brady 6.30%
2005 Roethlisberger 4.90%
2006 P. Manning 10.40%
2007 E. Manning 9.20%
2008 Roethlisberger 6.80%
2009 Brees 8.30%
2011 E. Manning 11.70%
2012 Flacco 6.60%
2013 Wilson 0.56%
2014 Brady 10.64%
2015 P. Manning 11.66%
2016 Brady 8.62%
2017 Foles 0.91%

Dak will be making close to 20% of our total cap.

The best teams will most likely be teams with vet QB's taking a discount or QB's on rookie deals.

You trolls didnt like Dak when he was on his rookie deal. Never heard you talking about what a great shot we had because Dak was cheap. LOL

The truth is there isnt much data on QB's that take up a lot of cap room as its just started to get bloated the last 3 or 4 years. And Since Brady has won half the championships lately, its even more of a misleading stat.

Are you telling me that Mahomes wont win anything once he gets a payday? Nonsense.

Pats didnt win because Brady was cheap. What has Brees won lately?

Just another silly theory of yours to discredit paying Dak.

I just gave you a list that goes all the way back to 1994.

Mahomes likely won't win anything once he gets paid. Even if he did he would be an outlier and the dude might be the greatest QB talent of all time..

Unfortunately we do not have potentially the greatest QB talent of all time.. We have a slightly above mediocre NFL QB that will be lucky if he ever cracks being one of the best 5 guys in the league.

Yes, the Pats did win at least partially because Brady was cheaper.

Brees held out for max, and after one good season, proceeded to go 7-9 for 3 consecutive seasons.

The QB guru. LOL

You haven't been right about anything with Dak. First you said he was backup material. Then you said he was average. Now you are up to slightly above average. And you are even hinting that he will be just outside the top 5. LOL

Why does a QB have to be one of the 5 best in the league? And wait, weren't you the guy that said thinks being the best is a detriment? How much do you think the 5 best are going to get paid?

You theory doenst even make sense.

How many QB's actually take up 20% of the salary cap in 2010 or 2015? LOL One, two, any?

That's the most misleading list I have ever seen.

Answer me this one question.

How many QB's took up 20% or more of their salary cap in 2017?

I said close to 20%.. He will be making Russell Wilson type of money which will put him close to that number.

At least Jameis has had success at some level in his career.

Dak has lost at every level so far.
Winston has had success at the NFL level? has he even been to the playoffs? his success in the NFL has been leading the league in interceptions...I guess that qualifies in your book. in the meantime Dak has never had a losing season and that's with Garrett as his HC and three years of Linehan....
