It took Cobb just one season with Dak to know he wanted to work with a different QB. Is that what's being said here?

:hammer:

People can say all they want.....But in my opinion....It sure looked like Dak phased him out of the offense as the season progressed. I can't blame him fo leaving for a better opportunity.

It kinda is, though. If your primary selling point in Houston over Dallas is QB play...like it or not, it’s an obvious unflattering comparison for Dak.
Do you really think he took his less money from Houston so he could play with Watson instead of Dak? Come on - he left for a bigger payday, and now he’s being asked questions and he’s giving the smart answers to endear himself to his new QB, teammates and fan base.

Besides, read the article and not just the headline. The primary reason he gave was Houston having been to the playoffs a lot in recent years. The part obout Watson being a winner was an added comment, and didn’t suggest he chose Houston because he preferred Watson over Dak.

Here was what he said ...”The reason I picked the Texans is, obviously, I think that you look at what they’ve been able to do over the past few years,” Cobb said. “[They] went to the playoffs four of the past five times.

He merely expressed excitement about playing with Watson just as he expressed excitement about playing with Dak a year ago. It’s just him saying the right things. Not everything is a soap opera.

It’s being said falsely though. Cobb didn’t suggest that.

By the way, Cobbs 5 biggest games last year were in the 2nd half of the season, which doesn’t suggest he was “phased out” as the season progressed. Cobb also had his best season last year since 2015.

like most free agents, he merely looked for the best combination of payday, playing opportunity and team quality he could find. Doing that is just part of the process, not part of a soap, opera like some fans like to imagine.

Aye......the guy sure looked better with Dak than he did Aaron. Hell if Cobb looked this good with the Packers he might've still been a Packer lol.
Of course caveat Cobb did have some injuries in 2018 & 2017...

But your point still stands...If Romo made Laurent Robinson better....then it's fair that Dak helped Cobb a huge payday.

Houston Texan GM/HC to fans: Hopkins is gone, his replacement is Cobb. Saves $4M per year on the cap and we even snagged RB David Johnson as a bonus. No 1st round pick this year because we traded for a guy who smoked weed in a mask. We are good. we have Watson at QB. Hopefully, he does not hold out. Throw that Hopkins jersey away and get your Cobb jersey. Call now and we will throw in D Johnson jersey for free.

Receiver Randall Cobb could have gone back to the Cowboys. He chose to leave for Houston despite Dallas hiring his former head coach in Green Bay. When the Cowboys hired Mike McCarthy, everyone assumed Cobb would return for a second season. "One of the special things about Dallas [was] they gave me that opportunity," Cobb [more]

umm wrong read the entire thing it was really about Money and years which jerry wouldn't do at this point..reality's check guys.,.in the article he said his agent said they planned to use him more like he was used in GB ie more plays time and game plans around him is the true reason he decided H over D.. thats it but like I said its always money, they offered a 3yr deal at a higher price.. thats it..

how much can you believe a guy who compliments the training staff and coaches for his resurgent season then leaves..lol we know better..

He was riddled with injuries at the Packers post 2015.

Most likely get injured again next season.

Lucked out that his hamstrings didn't tear last season.

What a surprise.

Half of Cowboy Nation does not like him either.

Do you think Jerrah knows this?

Half of the fanbase just does not want Dak?

That's not just a few..

Dak is going to be under horrendous pressure to shoot the moon this season with this Tag.

He has not done it without it.

With it weighing him down?

Guess what happens.
Except he didn’t say he didn’t believe in dak at all but nice try
