So with us ranked above the Eagles, many on here will be upset. :lmao:

wonder how this will change after the draft. A little difference or a lot of difference. Not that is matters. But as the OP said, some off season fun.

At this point, if Frederick hadn't gone down, I would have Dallas in the top 5 teams based on what I have seen so far and what I expect in the draft.

42 year old Brady didn’t. He had the best defense in the league last year. I think that’s our disagreement on Brady. I don’t think he is what he once was. You seem to think far more highly of him than I do.

So what is your analysis on why Brady had a down year? Age?

And lets remember that the Pats were 12-4 last year and lost to the same team that beat the Ravens at home in the playoffs.

New offense, age and no Bellicheat. I do think Arians will run the offense around his strengths like using the running back as a passing threat as well as the tight ends.

Wasn’t very good last year. Some games Jameis had to score 50 points to win lol.

That statement is not correct. The Tampa D was good. And one of the big reasons that Winston had to score so much was because he kept throwing picks. HE almost threw at a clip of 2 per game. And the idiot fumbled the ball also.

I will ask again...………….What is your analysis on why Brady and the offense had a down year?

The Bucs won 7 games with a bum QB who threw 30 INTs. Replacing that bum with Tom Brady won’t result in 3 more wins?

I like Tom’s chances at 10+ wins.

Absolutely. The Tampa offense was incredible with Winston at QB. Adding Brady should make it not only potent, but efficient. Brady will help with field position, time of possession, and not putting the defense in bad spots with turnovers. This will help an already good defense tremendously. Not to mention you know all those guys are working their butts off knowing that Brady is their QB now.

Defense will also now be playing more with a lead and that will help them tee off on the pass rush.

That is not true.

3 Picks against the 49ers who scored 31
1 pick against the Giants who scored 32 points
1 pick against the Rams who scored 40 points
5 picks against the Panthers who scored 37 points
0 points against the Saints who scored 31
0 picks against the Seahawks who scored 40
3 picks against the Saints who scored 34 in the second meeting
3 picks against the Colts who scored 38

8 games with over 30 points....only half of them he had over 2 interceptions. That does not represent a good defense. Its not like these are juggernaut offenses.

When someone throws 30 interceptions....that's more of a reflection on the coach than the quarterback. Granted, I didn't watch the Bucc's play.....but if you see your quarterback is struggling with picks then you should probably change your gameplan. Now some would say they wanted to lose with him. Well winning 7 games is a fail there too so I'd also fault the coach for that.

But if you throw INTs early and put your team in a hole, you have no choice but to keep throwing because you’re now in catch-up mode.

I’m guessing Arians realized he had no hope of taking the Bucs to the playoffs with a balanced offense because they simply didn’t have the pieces to do that. So Winston was given the green light and he failed miserably. I’m actually impressed that they still won nearly half their games.

I love the Saints. Great team. IF I had to bet now, I would agree based on the fact that we haven't seen what Tampa will actually look like with Brady.
You also gave to remember Tampa doesn't have a great OL or coach Belichek to help scheme. I actually think Tampa won't make the playoffs. Saints most likely wins the division so I'm looking at wild card for Tampa.

GB, Minnesota and possibly Chicago
Dallas and Philly
San Fran, Seattle and possibly Arizona

In the south I think Carolina will be rebuilding but Atlanta could make a run as they go 1 good season than 1 bad and back and forth. If history is anything than Atlanta will be a contender for playoffs spot.

I just remembered that 1 extra team will get a playoff spot this season. I still think the conference is very tough and Brady looked average last season in a less talented AFC

Granted...I didn't watch them play much but look at some of these picks.......

The game is in reach and he's throwing deep passes like he has the green light. And like I said above....He had eight 30+ losses.....4 of them he threw 1 pick or less.

His coach did him no favors. Winston got screwed over by Arians and he's paying the price now. Brady should fair better because he doesn't throw picks. I do think the interception will be much lower but I also think the touchdown swill be much lower. It wasn't like Jameis threw 30 touchdowns because he played in a great offense.
