Should Cowboys trade for Jamal Adams?

No. Don’t trade for Adams and reset the safety market with a new contract. You can probably get Jeremy Chinn in round 3. He’s a physical specimen who can hit and cover. Bigger and faster than both Jamal Adams and Xavier McKinney. Just played at a smaller school. Let him compete with Donovan Wilson.

Why would you trade Zeke lol? Why would you take that cap hit?

Kinlaw will be long gone. Henderson sucks since he's afraid to tackle. Damon Arnette is a much better CB than Henderson.

Jerry avoiding the SS position has haunted us since Roy Williams.
Don't totally disagree, but the question is how much more do you value 4.39 speed over 4.56?

Should we offer 17, 81, and a 2nd in 2021?
No.

We offer 17 and that's it.
If that doesn't do it we move on.

The team needs it's draft picks so a 1 for 1 deal is all I go given the immediate need to pay him top of market money.

Do the Jets want an additional 1st and a cost controlled player at 17 for the next 4-5 years or do they want a playmaker who subtweets them every 5 mins and has a large D tattooed on him because he loves Dallas.

Deion hated to tackle.

At CB it depends on system.
Some value tacklers and other erasers. Henderson is an eraser.

If a guy can really do both he is going top 5 in the draft.

He's not better than earl Thomas and we only offered a 2nd for him.
I'd offer. 2nd and only a 2nd.

i would luuuuv to jump at that offer as a Cowboys fan - that would be a steal.. !
but realistically that is not gonna get it done,.. if it took Steelers a 1st round pick to get Fitzpatrick - what do you think it is gonna take
to get Jamal Adams ? and he's younger than Earl so all the more reason why a 2nd rd ain't happening.

Sure trade for him. IF he'd be available for a reasonable amount of picks, etc. But from 24-7 Sports:

"Back in October, Dallas pretty much offered too little, and the Jets - maybe gauging the market without any serious intention of doing a deal - maybe asked for too much, at different times requesting a first-, a second- and a third-rounder plus the involvement of an All-Pro offensive lineman, Zack Martin or Tyron Smith."

Way too much.

Chances of the Jets backing off substantially from their demands is nil...

McKinney isnt even close to Adams. McKinney might not even go in the first round

+1

Adams has always been considered a blue chip safety- those have been the only kind of safeties the Cowboys will consider drafting in first round.
McKinney is not considered a blue chip safety.

As far as McKinney is concerned, I'd only take him if he's not only a better player than we have, but more than marginally better. And could he start come opening day?

Those are pretty much my measuring sticks for whoever I'd draft...
