They are crying for cap space? They got 20 million they won’t even use lol.

What were you going to trade for Zeke? A fourth rounder?
rocy--i might take a 4th but i would for sure take a 3rd...unless a running back is generational like Barry Sanders who never lost a step even in his 10th year...its not worth paying a running back a second contract....after 4-5 years they
are usually used up.....i agree about Pollard...that dude is a beast with some turbo in his legs too...what ever pick you get for Zeke use it on a running back and not pay 15 mil a year...too many good running backs who are fresh
i forget the name but the RB for SF...i think he was either a 6th rounder or free agent?....but he smoked through the playoffs this year

no thanks.

We are good with Zeke. Keep the 3rd round pick.

Yeah but these guys you claim you can get in the 3rd or 4th round.....they don't have the consistency that Zeke has. I've seen them come and go every year. Since 2016, who has consistently been good? Only person you can say is Zeke.

Now I do agree I don't think I'd pay up at running back but at the same time they did and they have plenty of space.

So I Don't get the insistence on trading him for a 3rd or 4th when his value to this team is that of a 1st rounder and you aren't getting a 1st for him.

So what is the insistence on getting rid of him? You have the cap space. Last I saw we had 28 million. What' the point of trading him?

base--i dont think Dak has regressed at all..in fact he overcame his inability to transfer weight from back to front foot along with hip torgue last year....he is far more improved in his throwing motion than years past
and at first i was mad at Dak for being greedy..but in 2 years NFL will be raking double amount of money from media....from 7.5-15 bnillion dollars and 47% is for the players...so Cap will be around 250-300 million a year and contracts will go through the roof....just watch...35 million a year will be middle of the pack to lower 1/3 for decent QB's...so Dak wants shorter contract so he can re-up sooner...NFL is a brutal business....they make so much coin its crazy and they are about
to double that from media
Good input gorico , and I agree on the cap in the near future . But did you notice Dak being ineffective in the games against winning teams ? He is 1-6 . He struggles against good defenses and gets flustered . He also has accuracy issues . but Jerry got him the best supporting cast ( OL , RB , WR) and he could not make a difference against teams like the saint , patriots , bills etc , and failed to score 1 TD against the eagles in the finale . I hope am wrong about him, but have seen him meltdown a lot .

We didn’t learn anything when Demarco Murray went to the eagles? Zeke is a force , he does everything on the field. I honestly think he wasn’t right last year. He’s going too rush over 1500 yards

We learned our back up QBs suck when Murray went to the Eagles.

Aero---honestly i would have taken a 2 or 3 for Zeke ...to me unless a running back is a generational beast...and there are very few of those...just not worth paying second contract...i say use em and lose em and get another
they take so much punishment and lose speed....the generational back to me was Barry Sanders....he even after 10 years did not lose a step...and there are no barry sanders i see in this era

you don’t think Zeke is a generational talent?

I believe someone posted some stats that showed SF had more money against the salary cap for the rb position than Dallas. Also I have not seen enough of TP to claim he is a beast. Although I hope MM involves him more in the offense with Zeke than JG did!

basel---- as a matter of fact now that you mention it i did not see the Old clutch Dak in 2019 at all....i believe before last year Dak led the league in comeback wins since coming into league 2016...but we saw none of that last year...so now i agree Dak regressed substantially in that department...also what disturbs me is Cooper's play on the road in 2019....he disappeared last half of season...i am hoping majority of blame rests in Garrett not having his team prepared?...i guess time will tell

Aero---well i guess right now the jury is still out on that...last night i rewatched the highlights of Zeke in 2019....maybe better than i concluded yesterday ...but i did not see the extra gear i saw in 2016...he was not caught from behind much in 2016...but he sure was last year in 2019...this is my only knock on Zeke

Stuck---on youtube there is a Tony Pollard highlight reel of 2019...just watch it...and tell me you might rather have him than Zeke?...i know that seems so way over the top crazy...check out video and let me know?

I like TP but would not take him over Zeke. I think he is a great change of pace back and should be utilized more. I would actually like to see a whole new running scheme and utilize them both together more than Garrett did

If SF has Zeke, and runs the ball in the 4th, they win the super bowl,

i would so love the combo of Zeke and Tony...also Bell is a swiss army knife type...remember our first 3 games last year..when not only went 3-0 but our offense was fooling defenses and then it seemed we went conservative down the road?
