Dallas/Dak is just waiting until it becomes crunch time. I remember the negotiations with Dez being the same way. Dallas stayed pat and eventually Dez signed the deal Dallas had on the table.

So I believe Dak is going to ink the deal being handed to him but he's not going to sign it until the last week. He's just holding off on the signing to see if Dallas goes up again.

"It is what it is." The Cowboys' FO is being ingenuous in saying Dak is the best, yet refuses to pay him accordingly. Too bad for all concerned. If they feel his inconsistency doesn't warrant elite pay, they should say so. Deception is always a bad look.

Is this what happened with Zeke too? Lol.

Hopes abound!

The deal is going to get done; the front office right now is probably more focused on getting its draft board set up considering this probably the most difficult draft to properly evaluate that they have had in decades as they lack many of the tools that were previously used to evaluate players.

In the end, the Cowboys and Dak will either agree to a mutually acceptable contract or they won't. Here's hoping for that to happen soon. ;)

Dak contract talks again, again, again.. etc

Don’t care anymore.

Fully believe he’ll sign.. just a matter of time.

Then we’ll have hundreds of threads ab how we overpaid, he’s not elite, the cap is screwed, etc, etc..

And if he doesn’t sign.. well, I suppose some will be happy with mediocre QBs and/or Winston.

Either way.. I’m over talking ab it.

One last thing.. Reminder for the Dak haters:

Last year: Dallas was only 172yds (Cobb) from having (3) 1000yd WRs
RBs combined for 69Rec;TEs 95Rec

All the while, our star RB had a “down season”
Zeke 301c-1357yds-12Td

Dak IS a franchise QB. Opinions vary on taste, but stats don’t lie.

Fact:W/L record last year is on the coaching, not Dak

Labor contracts for high dollars are always contested.

It's a player labor contract with a player labor union in the background.

All the other QBs in the labor union are encouraging Dak to stay put with his demands becuz they want DAK's results to help them with their contracts later on.

You will not hear that from the media becuz they are all union, too.

So be aware it's not just Dak vs. Cowboys or Jerrah.

It's the whole enchilada involved.

It's in both parties best interest to end this soon and shake hands and play ball.

I thought Steven and McClay were holding the line on the contract, and at the 11th hour Jerry panicked, jumped in and paid Dez what he wanted? Anybody else recall any of this?

8-8 no playoffs and couldn’t beat Philly in crucial game. I have my doubts on him.

Not a Dak hater, just no longer care if he is or isn’t the QB of the Dallas Cowboys for the next 0, 1, or 10 years. The Dallas Cowboys with go on with or without him and I will be there for all of it. There are other human beings who can accept the snap from center and either hand it off or throw it to a teammate. It’s 100% out of my control and Dak’s apparent lack of even the smallest compromise or caring for the overall well being of the team if causing me not really care about him anymore. I’m sure it will eventually get done. I just hope there is structure to it like Zeke’s that gives the team an out in a few years because I don’t think he’s going to get much better after getting paid. It seems that’s his biggest focus and we all know what happens to those players after getting paid. I’m beginning to see trainwreck instead of success.
