Hundreds of posts regarding the pick and you felt the need to create your own thread for the sake of being negative? CeeDee Lamb isn't just some wide receiver. Watch his highlight reels and imagine that's how he played every game of his collegiate career because that isn't far from the truth. He's an incredible talent and much better than simply picking some defensive player for the sake of drafting defense.

Pretty sure all other players on our board were in at least one tier below Lamb.
No, a 3rd WR was not remotely near the top of our needs list, but can't blame them for taking the player in that case.
Just too big of a gap on our board, and there was at least some need there.

Stop. Just stop.

Not a single safety was drafted in Round 1, and there's still a ton of corners left that are on that second tier.

After Okudah and Henderson the second tier of corners were all evenly ranked. There's still quite a few left, even after a run towards the end of the 1st round.

When you have a chance, if true, to select the #6 player on your board without giving up anything then you do it. Period.
Not a traditional Safety at least. Where Simmons plays remains to be seen

We lost to and were EMBARRASSED by theJets, NE, and Bills because of Def. Adding a WR that will take three seasons to develop will do nothing for this team to move forward.

Do you think a WR would have made a difference against LA in the playoffs in 2018?

Grade D so far.

I agree defense is the biggest need but CeeDee Lamb was never expected to drop to us. There was just too much value in him to pass up. People that don't see this have not done their due diligence to scout all the talent out there. Going forward in the draft, the Cowboys must focus on defense.

Top two picks tomorrow need to be defense...

hell I’d trade up to secure a safety if a run on them starts

This is such a jersey selling move by jerrrruh taking Lamb it’s stupid

You either respect Dallas' talent evaluations, or you don't. They had him at #6.. time will tell if they were right.

As others have said its too good of a talent to pass on. This is a short term andddd a long term move. It sets you up at wide receiver for the next 5-6 years guaranteed. Even if one of gallop or cooper eventually leave.

My thoughts is you’re blind. You don’t pass up on the best WR in the draft picking #17.
Historically how effective are WR from jump? 10-20%. They are the worst in transitioning talent.

Look for teams to stop 21 and your prescious Lamb won't amount to shhhhh.

He’s a good player and I’ve been saying for awhile that he reminds me of Hopkins and I’ve seen a lot of others recently making that comparison.

1 thing about him does bother me though.. He’s not that great of an athlete and he plays in a conference that has never heard of defense on the best team in that conference.

He or Chaisson had to be the pick but I just hope we don’t get this guy and he gets out athleted in the Pro’s.

34 inch vert..

4.51 40..
