Yes but from the games that actually matter. Someone like Brian Hoyer would ball out in this offense against bad teams.

That's the crux of what many people highlight regarding Prescott - his individual performances against good teams just haven't been up to what's required.
Those are fabricated nonsensical talking points.
Dak Prescott has been as good as almost any QB the last 4 years versus playoff teams.
Dak Prescott is 10-14 versus team's OVER 500.
The Silly: Every single quarterback in the NFL with enough starts to qualify for consideration, except for Brady, Ben Raperberger and Russ Wilson, have "losing records against winning teams.''
He has dominated this division specifically and beaten up Wentz badly prior to playing injured.
He became a major down the field aerial assassin last year after spending 3 years proving he could efficiently beat up the NFC East.

I don't care about total money. I look at avg per year money. He is not in any circumstance a $35 mill year QB. That's reserved for guys who actually win playoff games and SB (Wilson, Mahomes).
Weird how Carson Wentz has won zero playoff games.
Mahomes will never make 30-39M. He will make 45+.
Russ signed his deal over a year ago or it would be even larger than it is.

he does. he absolutely does. the argument I have always made, is what do you do when you have that kind of talent around you. how do you perform. how do you use those talents. every QB who has won has had talent on the team. they all talk about Brady, but Brady has had some talent on the offensive side. he also has had the benefit of bilicheck as a coach. Brees has some talent around him, with Kamara, Thomas, etc. over the years....last year, Dak led the team to the #1 offense, despite garrett and a rookie OC...
Bingo !! We saw what Troy was without his supporting cast. But with it he won multiple championships.

When will we be able to surround Dak with anymore talent than we have?

that's the market value of QBs in the league, #s we are not used to. Wentz signed for 30M/yr, Cousins just extended for $33M/year, it keeps going up and Mahomes is about to just shatter all kinds of records, probably in the 45-50 range..... its just reality of NFL. when Ryan signed, everyone was going WTH, but now his salary, few years later looks very average....and in 2 years, 35mill will be very average......

Also weird that Dak beat Russ in a playoff game.

he is 0-5 in the playoffs...he has been dismal in post season...regular season doesn't matter..... in post season he has folded like an old rusty chair...

And according to some, so has Dak.
Regular season doesn't matter? How in the heck do you think they got to the playoffs?
And last time I checked it is a team game. So not his fault like it was not Dak's fault either. Your's post makes no sense.

he has the talent, now he has the coaching....last year he had some talent, a first year OC, who was over his head at times and was being manipulated by red carrot at the helm....he led the #1 offense and #6 scoring offense.....

Reality is 35 mill is not exactly real. If the contract is actually based on 106 guaranteed money.

You asked how is he taking less? I answered based on numbers not your person view of who deserves what

the back up is on a one year deal, older, just got cut and has proven he is not capable of winning. he is a game manager at best, now even less at his age. he is not going to lead you to promise land....
Are you talking about Dalton or Dak?

He led us to what? 8-8

That’s the only stat I’m interested in.

But if you like stats. How about averaging 15 points in all of our losses. In 3 of those losses couldn’t put up a TD. In our wins over 35 points a game.

He dominates lesser opponents and struggles against better ones.

they got to the playoffs having had some really good top 10, top 5 defense.... and in post season, playing against slightly better teams, their offense laid one egg after another...

and I find it funny, you say its a team game, yet, you blame Dak for the 8-8 record last year...… as if defense, special teams, coaching, other offensive players had nothing to do with it..

double standard?

sorry, your spin doesn't make sense.

Why are you bitter over this?
competition for Dak?
not worried over the competition, because Dak is by far better....I find it funny that Dak detractors now switched to we love Dalton.....having known for months that Burrow will be the top pick by cinci, no one even mentioned a potential trade to get him, now you all are in mad love...prior to that was Keenum, yes, that Keenum who was the fantasy boy of the dak detractors...interesting phenomenon.....

get used to the fact that Dalton is a back up, will be the back up, is nothing better than a back up, all the wishing, arguing in the world, isn't going to make him into anything special.....and that Dak will be the QB of this team and if they agree on the length of the contract, he will be here for a wqhile,

but it will give you guys something to argue against for several years, as you did with Romo, until Romo was gone and now, switching to Dak...

its a never ending cycle with some...they don't like stability

and Dalton led his team to 0-5 in the playoffs, are you interested in that?

I find it funny, some of your dak detractor buddies, point to football being a team sport and team effort in excusing Daltons misreable underwhelming performance when it counts, yet Dak led us to 8-8, defense, special teams and coaching be damned...its all Dak I tell ya!
