Who honestly has new hopes for this season?

I have to admit, that for the FIRS TIME in a loooong time..... I am at least optimistic. Yes, Jerry is still here and probably will be for a while... but there is a new HC, new stafff and this offseason did look different. I am taking this with caution, and it could very well end up like always.

Any comments?

I always go into the season hoping for the best.
Not saying expecting the best, but hoping for it.

I don’t expect a championship, but I think the offseason moves have established us as NFC East favorites for sure.

I was optimistic heading into 89. Downright giddy this year.

The Freckled Puppet had more than worn out his welcome and if he was hired back for 2020 I would of quit watching the games until he was gone, that was the deal I made with a few of my friends. I think Jerry knew that many of us were getting ready to check out if Garrett was brought back and he finally scarfed down the humble pie and admitted Garrett was a mistake by not renewing him..

I think instead of being unrealistic in terms of what McCarthy can do I'm just enjoying the fact that we have a real football man in charge of things, so if I'm optimistic about one thing it's that McCarthy will make us respectful again, you can take that to the bank. I feel like the growing pains will be certain, but I believe we've taken a huge step up finally having a real football coach as a opposed to a Car Salesman with a little man complex in which we had with the puppet.

I am always somewhat optimistic. This year even more so. Coaching ha been holding us back (mostly on defense) and we have beef on the DL and better coaching.

I also think that McCarthy is going to be a very good coach for us in terms of organization.

I suppose I have more hope than I had last year, but Jerry & Stephen are still running the show. McCarthy is their 5th head coach in 20 years. We'll see.

I'm just waiting for all of the 14-2 predictions here when the schedule is released. Probably some 15-1s too.

Then the season starts and we wonder how we didnt see it coming.

The big question is when Jerry's fingerprints cant be seen on the field.

We can all hope that's ended with MM, but realistically it probably hasnt.

His meddling causes an undermining that he cant see and no one else has the stones to tell him.

Impossible to overcome? No, but it's a serious obstacle.
