Me too. I wouldn't say I'm necessarily expecting big things from Smith because he's been away a long time, but Smith proved to be a major impact player before his problems, and Gregory never did.

That's what I'm thinking too. Gregory may have had 6 sacks as a part-time pass rusher, but that's as good as it got with him. Aldon Smith was an absolute terror.

And unlike Gregory, Smith wasn't a liability or a target of opponent running games the way Gregory was. He and Crawford were a huge part of the Rams running over the Cowboys to the tune of 273 yards.

I think Smith brings the physicality and strength to hold up against the run as well.

Said it before and will say it again, whether or not he can still play at a high level, doesn't concern me at all. What's between his ears that scares me. But the good news is he's surrounded by a strong support group in MM, his position coach, AND agent ( who has an office in Dallas).

Well, at least Smith has cleared that hurdle. So we don’t have to worry about that.

Now we can move on to the next part of our “worry flow chart”. Can he play? Yes or No.

The ball's in his court now. Hope he doesn't fumble.

Good to see Aldon Smith is good to go, but why do some feel it will be harder for RG to get reinstated when he only had a weed issue?
