I don't think he even bothered applying for reinstatement nor is he under contract with the Cowboys anymore.
My take is, DI wants to play but doesn’t wanna go through the reinstatement process.

no we cant have Gregory, smith and Irving all on the edge if being suspended again on the same side of the ball and neatly the same positions..

Much lower probability of Gregory and Irving being suspended under the new cba. But you're right we can only babysit so many head cases.

I have inside info that Irving is definitely coming back this year and playing, it's a done deal, but he would never consider the Cowboys organization again. You will see him with another team 100%. If you want to know where the info comes from it's his trainer Brandon Smith.
Broncos?

3 of those sacks came against McCarthys packers in one of the most dominant single game performances I’ve ever seen from an interior linesman. So maybe?

I'd love for him to come to camp and prove everyone wrong. My comment really was to the post that he is "willing" to come back, but not for the Cowboys team that he quit on. That part is a hard pass.

If big Mike wants him back (and I'm not sure he does) then I'm A-OK with it.

He was inconsistent as a player, apparently you have a short term memory.

How many more times do I have to say this: The dudes brain is so damaged, he blacks out now. He specifically said this was one of the reasons he retired and why he needed DA WEED. He's done.
If that's the case he's better off staying away for his own health and quality of life.

If he can make the 53 then why the heck not take him back?
If he can't send him on his merry way.

I'm sure he has every intention of coming back and is working towards it and it's not a talent thing. I just don't think he has the discipline/humility it takes to get reinstated and I don't think teams will be too quick to jump on a chance to pick him up.

He kept getting suspended for weed and he finally said **** and if they ever did away with the dumb drug policy he might return. I’m good with adding a top 3 DT for bottom 3 money.

By the way you talk about him, you make it sound like he made it to the pro bowl or something. Top 3 DT and everything.

Only if he brings his even crazier girlfriend with him. Might as well make it as entertaining as possible. Hopefully, his wardrobe complete with fur coats was not confiscated due to not paying rent. It was like the WWF with him around.

He was a good player once in a while. Elevator just did not go to the top. Do not miss him at all.

Nah, still don't want him back.
He is highly unlikely to ever be with the Cowboys again. Stephen Jones does not have Jerry type tolerance for players that bad mouth the team or those types of problems.
