I dont. I am a cowboys fan so I like whover the QB is. I liked aikman, Quincy, Bledsoe, romo and dak. I just dont see anything great about dak. He was lucky to get the oline and weapons he has had. But there is nothing about his play that was great. Hes just average, and there's nothing wrong with that. I still like him, he just doesnt deserve the kinda money he is asking for. Not from us. I'm all for him getting paid, I'd be happy for him! Just not by us. Waste of cap.

Anyone that would admit to liking Quincy or Bledsoe has zero credibility.

Oh he has no clue because he doesn't get up, jump, and dance around cheering everything cowboys?

Be honest, if this was a thread saying Dak needs to be signed at this price, would OP and Cowherd still get the same comments from you?

He, and you as well, have no clue. All yall do is troll hate Dak all the time.

I used to think players were greedy too. Then I got paid what I was worth. Now, it's give what I am worth or pound sand. If he can bend Jerry over for more money, good on him.

The difference being, he doesn't get to whine, complain or blame anyone else. Once he cashes that check, he better produce or eat the crap sammich.
You work at a job where what you make affects other employees income? Big difference bud

Ya, everyone does. Every company has a salary budget and the goal is to pay the least amount for the best employee. The extra I negotiate for myself most likely comes out of someone else's pocket later.

"Top ten" is dictated by the market. In the nfl there are few QBs worth the kinda money dak is asking for. Brady at one point, manning was another. Dak has never shown anything great. He is reliable and makes good choices but that only gets him 8 wins a season. There are plenty of QBs we could plug into his spot and get that many of not more.
I don't want to come off as a dak hater because I really do like him. I have since we drafted him. I have just never seen the kinda play out of him that would justify the pay he wants.
If we could trade him for another piece and throw another 8-8 qb with comparative stats in his place we make the team better.
If we pay him too much and get stuck with his bloated contract it will hurt the team.
That's all I really care about.

dak has only 1 8-8 season in his career. His other win totals are 9, 10, and 13. So your first sentence already makes no sense

I'm sorry but you fighting for an extra dollar an hour is a lot different then a millionaire crying he doesnt have enough millions.

It's shocking to me when I read many in here think Dalton could take over and there wouldn't be any drop off in QB production.
Emotions often interfere with actual logic, and considering the state of lock down that everyone has been enduring, I can understand .
I loved the Dalton signing, great signing, great BU QB that understands his position/salary.
What the pro Dak crowd here wont recognize, and call all the realists out as idiots constantly, is that Dalton is also an insurance policy in case our franchise QB decides to
hold out.

What do you all think guys like Stephen A will do when Dak fails?

He's the guy to back up in a corner and say "well I'm just a commentator, Jerry shouldn't listen to me".... If he ever gets called out for wanting Dak to get paid.

Then he will proceed to bash Jerry. No different than fans on here.

"I'm just a fan"

No Steven A will say he was just wanting the Cowboys to fail

it doesn’t mean squat. It’s a talking point for haters such as pappy and willie b or risen to name a few

Sure it does. It basically means you better start looking for Daks replacement in the very near future because there is no way he sees that last year.

If dak was sporting a ring right now I promise I'd be 100% on the pay dak train.
How did you feel about Dan Marino. New coach new team new era. Prescott is a winner Do you have quarterbacks with rings that were blessed. And you have quarterbacks without rings that weren’t as lucky to have the team coaching. Kind of a negative statement. Being kind

I'm all for paying dak, I'm against overpaying dak. Without the ring he hasn't earned that top 3 qb payday.
If his talent were at the level that he could put the team on his back and pull out some wins that would've been losses with anyone else at QB then fine pay him like a top 3 qb but he doesnt have that large of an impact therefore he is expendable. The question is how much is to much? Where is the line?
The reason some feel this way is because the more we pay for dak the less will be available for the rest of the roster.

Perhaps but if your a good organization your doing that anyhow.

should have been doing it when Romo was qb and you might have avoided some below average seasons when pretzel went down
