Did we really?

This whole flirtation with Adams has taken off due to urban legend based on "reports" from imbeciles projecting incorrect assumptions.

Rarely do trades happen after prolonged stretches of time.

Either they happen, or they don't.

I hate to categorize you, but you seem like what I call a "Facebook Fan".

You see idiotic stuff spill all over your social media stream and you assume it is somehow in any way, factual.

This is basically another Earl Thomas waste of time.
Insulting me with Boomer condescension isn't going to work with me here, bro.

While I do agree with you that trades seldom happen over stretches of time, there are ample differences between the Earl Thomas and Jamal Adams scenarios. The media sensationalized the Earl Thomas crap because he physically approached Garrett after a game, is a Cowboys fan (which has been confirmed by his teammates over the years), and is a Texas grad. That was click bait from the start.

We actually did attempt to trade for Jamal last season, and the Cowboys found out that their asking price was too high, which was confirmed by multiple sources. That whole ordeal went all the way to the trade deadline. Are you too old to remember that?

This is appearing in a Jamal Adams thread.

I guess it speaks a lot towards where the mindset is.
Ya, my bad.
done.
If the Jets want to lower their dream cost, than I would be interested.

For everyone who wanted to trade our first this past draft for Jamal, do we still stand by that idea now that ceedee lamb is a cowboy?
Nobody else in the league payed that asking price either, so that's a good thing.
If the Jets want out of that contract so bad, and Jamal is rational, then a deal could be made, but I don't see it, and yes, I would much rather have CD.

I hear you, but giving up a first rounder AND shelling out a long-term contract for a SS when we need all the draft capital we can get?
What do you think will be available in the low 20’s next year that will be better than a 24 year old two time all-pro defensive player.

Think on that.

hint: it’s not going to be Trevor Lawrence. It’s going to be some guy who, as of today, you’ve never heard of.

The only people LeBron sizes will be Dlinemen or Olinemen.

At 6'9" at least 230lbs trust me sir, a King motivated to play TE or WR with pads on is dangerous too. Hell out weigh most DBs by 15lbs. He taller and faster than any LB....bruh. God left the talent cupboard open when Drew up LeBron
First off you are calling him king so that tells me all I need to know about your feelings about lebron. Second, he isn't faster than guys at LB.

In the NBA guys move out the way and lebron still flops. He got cramps inside a gym and had to be carried off the court by teammates...... what you think it's going to happen in the heat during training camp.

Not only that but the NFL will bust him for the steroids he takes. Lebron wouldn't last a season in the NFL

Big yawn from me.

As long as it’s no more than a 2nd rounder then go ahead but we’re already paying too many positions that you don’t pay big money too.

It is a 1 and a 3 at the minimum. Possibly an OL like Williams or McGovern in that mix.

I’d rather spend money on premium positions.
With the current makeup of our defense, SS is the weak link.

Even at the edge we have better talent and depth than we do at SS.

Adams makes LVE and Jaylon better and he makes our young CB’s better.

If there were better Edge or DB options out there this season that would sign with us, we would have them

They want a Kings Ransom and no team is willing to pay it.
Its obvious the Jets want out, and I bet a deal gets made, but the price will keep falling the longer its offered.

Who did the Cowboys draft with pick number 24 in the 2010 draft?

Hint: he is this franchise’s all time leader in td receptions

look how he destroys the Giants on this play. Man I want him to be a Cowboy.

Save the draft picks from the trade and use a 3rd rounder to draft another RB. Get rid of Zeke and there is your 15 million to pay him. Just wait a year and sign him yourself.

Pipe dream.

Jamal Adams facts:

Adams had more sacks than Demarcus Lawrence last year.

Adams had more interceptions than Byron Jones last year.

Adams had more passes defended than Byron Jones last year.

Adams had more tackles for loss than Jaylon Smith last year.

Adams had more than twice as many QB hits as Jaylon Smith, Sean Lee, Xavier Woods and Jeff Heath combined last year.

Adams did all this while missing 2 games last year.

Adams is 24 years old, the consensus best player at his position, a DPOY candidate and a Dallas native that wants to play for this team.

Adams is absolutely worth a 1st round pick and $15 million a year.

I think Adams is the best Strong Safety in football..

The problem is you don’t pay Strong Safeties in this league because they don’t have big impacts on games.
I found this interesting. I suppose it all comes down to how you define “big impact”

Ramsey vs Adams in their first three years. Adams has only played three years.

This is actually a more kind comparison for Ramsey because his fourth season was his worst as a pro.

Sacks
12-0

QB Hits (think this caused some incompletions?)
23-1

Forced Fumbles
6-1

Fumbles Recovered
4-0

Interceptions
2-9

Passes Defended
25-40

Touchdowns
2-1
