No need to go that back. Is this team better than the 2016, 2014 and 2007 squad? On paper?

Garrett always found a way to add that monkey wrench. I truly believe he would have taken KC out of being Super Bowl contenders as well if were the HC.

That's what it's all going to come down to.
Overall, in comparison to the rest of the league, the Cowboys undeniably have the player talent to compete with anybody. But like always, it will come down to how well the coaching staff is able to utilize that talent. The last one clearly wasn't but I'm hopeful and optimistic that the current one will be. Having said that, the current conditions don't help a team undergoing such significant changes.

I’m more excited about the increase in talent on the coaching staff. I’m hoping game day resembles draft day where instead to wondering what the hell Garrett is doing or thinking, I just sit in amazement that we finally have competent people in place doing common sense things trying to win.

All the “ If’s” unfortunately take much of the water out of my glass.
I’m not even sure this team is as talented as 2007 or 2014 which were IMO the best teams since 90’s. The only teams with a better shot to take the next step.
Im most excited like when we had Parcells we won’t hold our coaching responsible for the lack of success.

True, but this team has had this kind of talent at times over the last 15 years and blew it.

Garrett was good for 3 losses a season most seasons. And he blew both games against GB. We should have made the championship game both times and he blew it with bad in game coaching decisions sandwiched by bad game plans.
MM is no Garrett. WE have seen that already.
