How many of you that work yourself up on either side of the Dak contract discussion really think it makes a difference? I hate Garrett and I was not shy about, even got benched a handful of times because of it. I saw it as fun banter and just used it to mess around. I think most of us here do the same with Dak. Will anyone step up and say that that they will renounce their fan hood if we sign or dont sign Dak? Any hardcore?

I think the funny thing to me is when a player someone likes gets picked on, rather than defend them they immediately start attacking another irrelevant current or former player.

If you love Dez and someone hurts your feelings with their opinions then you must insult Witten because ALL people who do not want Dez re-signed obviously love Witten, a player who plays for another team now.

If you love Dak and someone hurts your feelings with their opinions then you must insult Romo because ALL people who do not want to pay Dak $35+ million per year obviously hate him and love Romo, a guy who has been out of the NFL for 3+ years.

As I have said many times, I will support and root for whoever is on the team when the games start regardless of how much they are paid.

I mean you say that jokingly but go look at the ppl that dont want Dak to get paid and look at their romo stance. Ppl that cheer for the cowboys want dak to get paid because he was our best player in 2019 and he gives us the best chance to win currently.

That's the way to go. Let JJ sign them and I'll root for them. It's all about the Star.

I think it's a response of many bored fans to the lack of controversial things this offseason. Seems to be a need to have an emotional issue to post about. The self-inflicted quarantines might have something to do with it, also! It appears to provide a welcome release from the tedious boredom! ;)

Hard to tell how much, but I’ve seen talking points from CZ, posted by local media on twitter. Which gets picked up by National guys and circles back here.

Again I don’t know how much if at all it affects or reaches the Cowboys front office but I’ve seems stories trickle from here to twitter. Does it affect the Dak contract stuff? Who knows....

Sorry maybe not on topic.

Anyone who would renounce their fan hood because of not signing or re-signing a QB isn’t a true fan of this team. They’re more about the QB than the team. There were some fans that were more Romo fans than Cowboy fans. There was a fan I used to argue with all the time who disappeared when Romo was released. I had a friend who stopped following the Cowboys when Staubach retired. A few years later he became a fan of John Elway and started following the Broncos. I could never dislike a QB enough to move on from this team and the Cowboys have had more than a couple of really bad QBs.

Lol sorry i was being nice with the below average coaching comment
Stats help you win fantasy sports leagues. I care about post-season wins.

If Dak can lead the team to the championship game or Super Bowl, I am all for paying him $30+ million per year.

Until then, he's simply a quarterback coming off an 8-8 year who has one playoff win in 4 years.

Just so you know, I was one of the first people here to say Dak was a special player when we drafted him and he was only going to be third on the depth chart.

I like him as a person and player and I am perfectly fine with him being the Cowboys quarterback, just not at $30+ million per year at least not yet.

If he can get the Cowboys to the championship game or the Super Bowl, then it would be much easier to justify.

Yes.

I will not follow him.

I prefer Dalton.

If not him then just for this season and we draft high in 2021.

I have just arrived at my end with all this drama.

He is not leading us..he is dividing us.

He is undermining Big Mike as to who is the real leader of the team.

That to me is and only can be McCarthy.

Dak needs to step back and prove himself.

Whatever equity he thinks he has now has to start over now.

Dak is the wrong guy for this team going forward. I prefer a more experienced guy who is hungry.

Dak is fat over himself.

He needs to get over it.
