I like Dalton, would rather sign Dak to a long-term contract, but Andy will be a very good stop gap QB and mentor for a young QB if we happen to move on from Dak. If Jerry is butt hurt because Dak didn't sign, Dak will be gone next year, unless he wins us a SB.

Dalton played last year without any type of skilled players. WR's all injured, RB's seemed to be in and out. TE injured, OL injured.
I am amazed he is still walking.

We will be fine with Dalton playing.
I just wonder how many will wish Dak failure or injury to get Andy in there.

All I know, is I am glad they signed him, as if Dak does need to miss time, I don't think there will be a drop off at QB.

Unless there is a injury we won’t see much of him. This will be all about Dak trying to earn his contract. Just like last year. It’s been just need to see one more year for the last 2 or 3 years now. Lol.

This is just a lay over for him. Dak will be signed next year. I would love to see Dalton decide to stay in back up mode the rest of his career.

He's only 32. I wanted him in the draft once upon a time because I saw what he did to my Sooners over and over.

With this offensive personnel, Dalton could move the team consistently with no problem.

Can he do it as well as Dak? Better? Not as well?

I'm curious how McCarthy would answer that question.

I always say, every quarterback has highlights. That's why I put so little stock in it when people post Dak's "accuracy" videos.

We watch the games. We know the truth.
Well with Dak people say "he can't throw the deep ball" and to me highlights kill that claim. Highlights show you what a guy can do but it doesn't show you good someone is IMO.

I think they've already answered it. Dak is getting 31 million....Dalton is getting 1.5. Question answered.
