He's only 32. I wanted him in the draft once upon a time because I saw what he did to my Sooners over and over.

With this offensive personnel, Dalton could move the team consistently with no problem.

Can he do it as well as Dak? Better? Not as well?

Not as well.
Dak > Dalton

But
Dalton + 31.4mil + Dak's trade value > Dak

Andy Dalton is not good. He's average. He'll cost you just as many games as he wins. At this stage in his career, he's at best an 8-8 QB without the consistency to string together enough games for a legitimate playoff run.

look at the film, Dak.
Dalton. Throws. With. Authority.
And not only as his footwork is pure and he places the ball where it should be only catchable by the WR.
He is able to lead the WR whereas Dak needs to see the WR open to throw the ball.
Dak playing QB is like a bull in a china store....very awkward stuff!!

Daks better because of his age and athleticism but a not by much. Dak had a more than fair offer on the table and didnt take it. Wont be a season this year. Thats a huge gamble imo.

true, but I posted it to show he can still throw the ball, and run, people were talking about his arm was gone, and he was old, like he was on crutches or something.
No, your post specifically noted no throws behind a receiver, which is a comment people make against Dak, and you mentioned 6 running TDs and added “how many did Dak have”.

Accordingly, your post and this thread was not intended just to show Dalton still had an arm, it was to suggest he is better than Dak.

So my comment stands - Dalton is a good player, but this is a highlight film meant to show his highlights, not a comprehensive and balanced view from which to evaluate.

Maybe but considering we don’t trade players and get value for them and we had Dak for $4 million over 4 years and we neglected to pull the trigger on impact free agents doesn’t give me any confidence whatsoever the $24 million savings would be put to good use.

dak runs like he has polio crutches on his legs. I have never seen a guy who runs and doesn't bend his knees. What's even better is when he's in the pocket, he plays like he has two left feet.

Look at tRifle.... couldn't make the block to save Cincinnati from Joe Burrow...

TRifle Dalton will have Zeke and Lamb leading the team in tackles
